Do you have 1 to 1 devices using iPads and/or Chromebooks?

Our school has 1:1 android tablets. They were only used as a web browser before I came in and enrolled them into Intunes and push apps. -

Not sure if I remember it correctly but I think you need to skip the transfer apps and data before jumping into Mosyle. I could be wrong but you can give it a try first. You can always reset the iPad the default if it doesn't work. -
Setting up Apple School Manager isn't really that hard and you definitely would want your iPads to be managed by a MDM. It makes things so much easier. Just fill your school's details on Apple School Manager and they'll call you to verify your school. If you need an MDM I'd recommend Mosyle which is free and easy to use. You can customize settings, home screen layout, manage apps etc. Once set up, enrolling and managing them would be so much easier. If you set the profile to prevent students from changing passwords, downloading apps and deleting apps, you can probably just leave them as they are and won't need to deal with them afterwards.

Would be a great replacement for my 5 years old budget gaming laptop which struggles playing modern games. -
There were still HP laptops and Chromebooks yesterday. Thought I would ask the teachers what they wanted but there's only Dell laptops left now...

We don't really use any paid apps, only free apps like Scratch jr and Tynker. Not sure if that still violates app licensing but I just took over whatever the last IT guy has left me. We do have two factor authentication on and we never had apple id getting locked. Even if it does, wouldn't the iPad still works? It's only the icloud service and appstore being affected right? I generally turn Airdrop off because kids in class would just airdrop all kinds of silly pics to their classmates. I actually do have VPP set up and was thinking about transferring to it but all the iPads are not fully enrolled so I just left it until I have time to look into it. So if I had transferred to VPP instead of one account for all. Do I not need to sign in anything on the iPads? Will iCloud still be usable?

Our school only has around 35 iPads for students and they are only for ICT lessons and after school clubs. I just log them in all in one single apple id and turn on icloud drive sync only. The ICT teacher asks the students to take screenshot of their work, put them on Page and save it with their name. Since icloud sync is on all the work saved will just appear in the drive and the ICT teacher just downloads it on one iPad or she would ask the students to upload work on purple mash. Recently started using Mosyle to manage all the iPads but it's not really necessary. Basically just using it to monitor iPads batteries and storage.

Bought £600. Now it's only 382... Guess I cash in in the wrong time

Same for me. Endpoint Manager admin center (Intunes) works tho.

Actually considering getting them for the school. What's the difference between the cheaper ones and expensive ones? Will a £50 docking station be suffice or will it break very soon?

May I ask how manageable are the Chromebooks? Our school never had any Chromebooks and we don't even have Google WorkSpace. Does it have to be logged in to a Google/ Microsoft account to be used? Thanks.
