pete Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 A poll, because I'm at the "start fulfilling the contract terms or we stop paying you" stage with our provider. 1
ITGuyNW Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 Ricoh that we use around School, fine, no issue. Konica that we use in Reprographics, slow to non existent
andy_b Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 (edited) Konica consumables has been back to normal for a while for us. edit: Just consumables.. Edited March 2, 2022 by andy_b
hallb15 Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 Konica consumables are fine, but we've been waiting since July 2021 for new photocopiers with no ETA.
andy_b Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 Konica consumables are fine, but we've been waiting since July 2021 for new photocopiers with no ETA. Yeah, should have put that as a caveat - no chance of getting any copiers from Konica. 1
chazzy2501 Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 sharp have just installed a new firmware to allow alternate toner to be used.
Koldov Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 I've put no, but it comes with a caveat... We use Kyocera MFDs, but these are through a 3rd party provider and they don't seem to have an issue sending us 'compatible' toners. Or maybe this is why they are sending compatible toners...? We haven't needed any parts fixed/replaced recently that I know of, but the 3rd party supplier also supports, so I'm not really involved. If something goes wrong one of the receptionists/admin staff call them and they just come and fix it.
MrEprise Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 We use Kyocera MFDs as well. We're using Annodata as the Service Provider, but they're owned by Kyocera now and we don't seem to have any issues with consumable supply.
TD87 Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 We have Kyocera with Annodata, stuck without a Black for our 8353 for two weeks now.
Oaktech Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 We're still experiencing toner's with no chips, which is messing up our automated stock ordering but they are arriving within 24hours if we request them manually. We're also struggling with excessive delivery times on sundry items like pedestals (4 months and counting), card readers (8 weeks between ordering and delivery ) and staples (1 month delay to automated orders).
dmason2 Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 we did with kyocera, was waiting about 6 months however now upgraded
Buzzer90 Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 Yup, second lot of supply issues with our Xerox machines via ArenaGroup since September.
FragglePete Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 Major issues here with Konica. It's a real shame as the devices and support have been excellent up until the recent issues with the toner shortages. Pete
paulkerton Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 Major issues here with Konica. It's a real shame as the devices and support have been excellent up until the recent issues with the toner shortages. Pete Oh great, now this is stuck in my head. 1
Koldov Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 We're still experiencing toner's with no chips, which is messing up our automated stock ordering but they are arriving within 24hours if we request them manually. Interesting, I've just had a conversation with our 3rd party support and asked about the levels at which our printers request new toners... Our one and only colour printer (for teacher use) was set to 30% and somehow the teachers managed to suck the Cyan and Magenta dry from +30% to 0% in an afternoon (big push on refreshing the display boards last week)... anyway this means that by the time the order is processed and delivered, the printer is out of use for a day. We really need a 'spare' set of toners for such emergencies and I thought I'd be clever and refill it overnight with 'empties' in the hope that it would recognise all the toner cartridges as being on 0% and automatically order a full set... for some reason it doesn't even register I've put the toners in, let alone them being empty (I guess the chip has registered it has been used (?). In fact, to make matters worse, I did a few test prints to try and get it to understand the situation, but they all printed out fine... We have Kyocera with Annodata, stuck without a Black for our 8353 for two weeks now. We have a Kyocers TASKalfa 5002i that's at the point it should have a toner ordered, so I'll be asking admin to keep an eye on deliveries to reception for the next couple of days...
colly72 Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 Yup, second lot of supply issues with our Xerox machines via ArenaGroup since September. We had loads of issues with supply of Xerox through Arena in the run up to and just after Christmas but been OK since the middle of Jan.
Squelch Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 We've got 2 Konica devices on order which may arrive in 2024. I haven't had any consumables auto delivered for a good 6 weeks or so.
DrCheese Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 Yes/no - Kyocera here. One of our toner types was back ordered which... was more than annoying as it was the black on our big units for printing exam papers. Apparently, it's more that they can't get the chips for the toner rather than the toner itself. Toner for the smaller copiers we've not had much trouble with. They're also really, really bad at getting replacement parts at the moment. It's meant we've had machines out of action for far longer than I'd consider acceptable normally. Thankfully the departments are understanding, but it's disappointing.
JAMIEFCAT Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 Across five primaries within a MAT, I have multiple Konica MFD's. All of the machines have auto ordered their own stock and been delivered next working day. I might be an anomaly by the sounds of it.
Edu-IT Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 Across five primaries within a MAT, I have multiple Konica MFD's. All of the machines have auto ordered their own stock and been delivered next working day. I might be an anomaly by the sounds of it. I'm finding the same. 1
KernelM Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 We're having issues with getting black toner for our large Kyocera photocopiers. We've not had a delivery for the last 3 weeks and Kyocera originally told us they were expecting a delivery on the 8th March, but today they've told us it'll be the 28th March.
steveg Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 We are well stocked for all our Konica printers except our C3350i's which we have no black for and keep getting dispatch notices showing it on back order. We hold 2 full sets of toner for each printer in stock and put the last black in today.
