I think this must be the reason why I cannot find where to create the rules then. @ZeroHour I presume with that, you have the Gateway/Router to enable them options? @Netwacky87 Yes, enabled and working, but was trying to find a way to be less reliant on that. I am taking from this that without a UniFi gateway / router in place its not going to be possible.

Following on from: https://www.edugeek.net/forums/topic/227211-papercut-hive-mqtt/#comment-2033922 I believe the issue is that we have multiple VLAN's and some devices are connected to VLAN's that cannot physically see the printers, therefore PaperCut Hive is failing. I'm sure it's incredibly obvious but does anyone have any advice on how to enable the different VLAN's to see the printer IP addresses within UniFi software, as I assume this is where it's being restricted. I've had a look around but nothing obvious stands out.

Just out of interest, I assume you have data that shows a typical school usage, and you know the number of schools connected to your network. So the two multiplied together gives a rough idea of normal usage day to day, and then you build in some additional capacity for fluctuations. When you say usage has increased, is this significantly above typical usage x number of sites connected + an allowance for fluctuation? I guess the point I am wondering is can the network designed to cope with the maximum demand that could be placed on it as from your post it sounds not?

Where are schools buying laptops from currently, with decent warranty, that don’t cost the earth? Or with the RAM issue is finding a laptop at a ‘reasonable’ price just impossible?

Sounds like progress! Yes, shared devices and Hive are troublesome.

Tap is really easy to use. Like the majority of charging apps, it’s a case of find the charger and click to charge.

Isn’t it the case though that you then have to connect to wifi using the Unifi app?

We have a number of ICS charges connected to the TAP Electric management platform.

We use them via a reseller for VOIP. Has been pretty rock solid. We have our broadband via them, support is fine, but it depends who is providing the connection as they're reliant or them.
