IT rota for now is that one person out of our team of four (the one with the least risk in his immediate family) will go in Monday and Thursday morning to deal with anything that's come up, and be on call if anything does come up, and we might even drop that. We'll leave some print cartridges in an accessible place with two lists of printers--for this printer, cartridge X, for that printer, cartridge Y etc.--and send some basic instructions round; thank god the PageWide printers are so easy to change a cartridge on. Other than that, we're all remote. Anyone else already finding it weird to watch films or TV and see people standing too close?

That'll hurt the students! 1

The pharmacy has sensible things in place - queue outside, queue 2m from each other, etc... Whilst I was there waiting, 3 people walked straight past me in the queue and went into the shop. A couple of people walked straight up and stood right by me. Why are they STILL not getting it?!

When they've been told to ignore experts for 5 years and are getting constant mixed messaging, without it being reinforced through TV advertising and the like, it doesn't surprise me. Though if anyone came that close to me, I'd scream "BACK THE **** OFF" in their faces. They'd get the message then! 1

My advice is not to scream that in anyone's face as you may end up burdening the NHS with a broken jaw. 2

As someone who works in an independent prep school with around 300 children...I hope so! Been in school today, apparently we have three children due in tomorrow as key worker kids, one of them is a bit of a handful... Just got back after basically being told to work from home unless it's essential I'm on site - which means a callout if the server goes down, but not much else.
CHiLL Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 We had 2 of 700 in today and had a rota of 30 staff for each week. Obviously that has been reduced now as that many staff aren't required. I've been told that I can work remotely, visit the site once a week to check the status and also go in if required, which is fine as it's only a 20 min drive away. We all have to remain contactable, so respond to calls, messages and emails in a timely manner.

We've setup a specific email address for this, and have asked that parents email us on the email address we have on file with Bromcom to verify that it is that family. Best we can do in the circumstances. We can't put self-service password resets on G Suite.

Ironically we are moving towards a self service system in the near future across our academies.

We sync OnPrem AD >> GSuite but have disabled password expiration whilst we are in this uncertain period meaning students shouldn't forget their password but no doubt they will!

And when all this is over it's an opportunity to revisit practices and policies as the guidance for some time now has been not to have a password expire purely because it has been in use for so many days. - assuming that's what you were referring to? 1
