  1. Devices need to be managed - ie. you've applied a CEU to them. In most cases this would tend to rule out student owned devices. Having used Class Tools extensively it's excellent.
  2. Google partners can definitely get this sorted. I have no idea why Getech were unable to help. Perhaps try one of the other two.
  3. You need to speak to a Google Partner such as Getech, Canopy or C-Learning, they can get you approved quickly.
  4. Have you tried SSHing into it and issuing the set-inform command?
  5. This really isn't a good look - it's fine to be frustrated at the situation but calling other children knuckle draggers is unacceptable.
  6. Also to help staff with the different keyboard shortcuts there's the Key Shortcuts app on ChromeOS - it automatically adapts so if you have a Chromebook it'll show you using the keys a Chromebook has but if you plug in a Windows keyboard it'll show them as well. On Flex it shows based on the keyboard it detects so it's really pretty useful.
  7. Yeah, we use Google because we're a Google Workspace trust, it makes sense to use SSO with the service you use or use the most etc.
  8. We use SSO with Google and limit supply accounts using context-aware access so they can only log on on site.
  9. We've been using Camera Studio (we're mainly ChromeOS) with Aver cameras, it looks like it works on Windows too - https://camerastudio.app/
  10. Even as a stanadard technician post NCC would pay this as an N5 which is £29,064 to £31,022, I really think you will struggle to find someone at such poor wages.
  11. Hi @Alawil please could you share this with me.
  12. Boot Camp only supports up to Windows 10 officially.
  13. We're a primary school, so less of a concern as students won't be inside during break/lunch without a member of staff anyway. What about at the end of the school day - cleaners etc?
  14. The Chrome Upgrade is the device licence. There is no distinction between a licence used for a Chromebook and a licence used for Flex (although there are conditions on moving it to a Chromebook from a Flex device if you buy a Chrome device within a year.)
  15. Also - in that regard Flex devices are treated the same - they require a management licence but the OS and the updates it gets are free.
  16. Have you tried using a partner like Getech or C-Learning - they will help you with this for free.
  17. You can have Unifi vendor support if you want it...
  18. Having auto approve off is the move to make - you need to allow parents to see and update the data you're holding on them effectively and securely. Why wouldn't you want them to submit an update to you using the parent app?
  19. Secure passwords are a significant barrier to this for younger students.
  20. It's not just spelling their name it's the strength of the associated password. Being able to log on with a username and password is definitely something most students should be able to do by the end of the primary phase but that doesn't mean there isn't a place for QR code sign ins at the younger ages within the phase.
  21. Have you tried using a partner such as Getech or C-Learning to help you - they won't charge for helping with this!
  22. It does it both just as www.helldeskrules.com and helldeskrules.com
  23. Doesn't MyLogin do QR code badges for sign in? We use Clever badges for this.
