You misspelt Lancia Stratos with rally decals

 

Clearly you all don't know how to spell "Tesla model S"

 

There is something to be said for older cars with zero aerodynamics and the looong bonnets, though.. There's just something so classy looking about them.

Headlights, indicators and brake lights are also just a teency bit important, so why are they so difficult?

 

Indicators are optional on some cars based on personal experience, but even if you do loose a bulb there is always the hand signal method :p

I now have Sega Rally in my head, that was an awesome game.

 

Now I want to go back home and try Pikes Peak in Dirty Rally again =/

Unfortunately you're right, some cars don't come with indicators it seems. But the the hand-signal-method used by their drivers isn't often a polite one ;p

You clearly misspelt it as well. It's "Tesla Model S P90D (with Ludicrous mode (0-60 in 2.8 seconds)).

 

Can't say I agree with the posters saying that bulbs should be changeable at the road side. Drivers should be checking function of bulbs before every trip in the dark, therefore there should only ever be one bulb out (of the two headlights, three breaklights, two rear lights or 6 indicators) unless the car has got a serious electrical issue which could never be repaired at the roadside anyway (or you're really unlucky and more than one bulb blows on the same journey).

 

Edit: My annoying thing today was that even before I'd entered the building I was summoned to a classroom to fix an issue. Still had my cycle helmet on, my gloves, my scarf and my coat (and was still panting away from the cycle ride I'd just completed!)

Have the newest dirt game and finally got the Stratos, THE GAME IS SO HARD!

 

I crash on every corner, decided to buy a steam controller to see if its any easier......... I CRASH EVEN MORE!! *Rage Builds*

Some drivers subscribe to a little known road tax extension system that is based on a self assessment of exceptional driving ability - and once paid it allows them to change lanes without indicating as they are clearly so good at driving that it MUST be OK

Also this extensions allows then to drive at a much closer distance to the car in front as their braking ability and amazing road sense make this OK

Naturally they will also be allowed to undertake at will - again due to their innate knowledge of the possible effects making it OK

 

For some reason I can't find the application form for this extension on the gov.uk website but I'm SURE it must be there

 

(apparently some makes of car come with this extensions as an added feature)

I've written to the Dept Of Transport requesting they consider changing the "construction and use" regs to require manufacturers to design cars so that the main 10 "safety critical" lamps can be changed at the side of the road, with only tools supplied with the car, or better none, by an incompetent motorist.

 

Can you also add in some sort of limit on light intensity and an "auto-dip" function?

Fords are awesome. One day I will own my dream car... an Escort Convertible... in purple.

 

There is a great way to fulfill this dream on the cheap. Drive one. You won't want to buy one after that ;)

 

Mine is a Gunmetal Grey R32 GT-R with bronze Rota Grids on. Drool.

I don't really want one... it's kind of a running joke with the husband. I whizz about in my Mini Roadster... I think our financial situation would have to dramatically change before I drove a purple skip with a tent on top escort convertible.

Hehe yeah that sounds more like it! I have driven a mk3 Escort convertible which had a 1.6 NA diesel conversion. Wasn't thaaat bad to be fair, but then I have driven a right range of stuff from utter dogs to decent stuff. I'm sure if you really felt the need, you could PX your Mini in for one ;)

Close to my dream car as I would have one in my dream garage but a BMW X5, I'm going shopping for one in a few months time, time to replace my trusty 16 year old 5 series.

I actually have a couple of odd cars that I really want but they are pretty hard to find in good condition now.

 

Rover 420 GSi Turbo - Ugly as hell but great fun to drive (and 200BHP stock) and surprises the hell out of the boy racers and BMW owners when they get overtaken by a '90s rover :)

Vaxhual Omega - Either the Evo 500 version (never seen one of these for sale anywhere) or the 3L V6 version (like the old bill used to have :) ). Another car that is ugly as hell but lots of fun and great to see peoples reactions when they get overtaken by a car that looks like it should be driven by a pensioner.

Ford Capri - I have always wanted one of these but the options now are either an expensive restored one or a rotten one that you will have to spend a lot of money on restoring.

Mk1 VW Golf - Another car I have always wanted and is now really hard to find in decent condition.

Mk1 MX5 - I actually had one of these for quite awhile but sold it when me and my other half got together (apparently a 2 seater car is not suitable when you have 2 kids). Not the fastest car in the world but brilliant fun to drive (especially if you get it ported to a 2L and drop a T25 on it, just make sure you stick some bags of sand in the boot)

 

All in all I have a fairly odd taste in cars.

also can we have a maximum height above ground for headlights and can we have it fitted on bikes as well the numptys this morning had flashing lights so bright they were illuminating road signs 1/2 a mile away and one looked like a disco strobe it was flashing that fast

 

EVO 10 for me.

 

My ford fiesta ST will do for me at the moment.

 

mk6 or 7? mountune kit is good mine sounds great in tunnels under leeds

 

ideally I want a blue v8 mustang convertible and a mk 1 or 2 escort mexico, an r34 skyline and wouldn't say no to a decent capri

For those who have expressed a longing for one, my first car was a yellow/black Capri, aka the BananaMobile.

 

Looked a bit like

but considerably rustier. Can't remember much about it beyond it being expensive to run.
