The synopsis sounds more like it was a holdover from S2 rather than 3. Still, better than nowt.

I watched the repeats of Car Share last night, the one with the drunken blue smurf, Elsie, in the car after the fancy dress party.

 

It was only following a discussion with my partner (who said it was a man playing the part of Elsie) that I discovered that not only was she correct but it was Conleth Hill, better known as Lord Varys in GoT

Personally I'm very disappointed with Westworld, the pace is so slow it makes Mad Men look zingy and I think Humans does a better job of examining the potential conflicts of AI

It's been a few days since reports indicated Amazon was close to a deal that would extend the life of sci-fi series The Expanse, and tonight Jeff Bezos made it official. Alcon Entertainment makes the show, which is currently airing season three on Syfy, and said in a statement: "We couldn't be more excited that The Expanse is going to continue on Amazon Prime!" The press release confirmed season four, while Bezos said the show will be a Prime Original "for the coming seasons."

I have not watched any of season 2 so far but I suspect it could be like a lot of HBO shows. The start of the season is very slow then 1/3 1/2 way through it ramps up. I found GoT quite similar in a lot of seasons and season 1 of Westworld was slow building as well for the first few episodes.

Altered Carbon is a great show! Finally got the missus into watching it and she agrees.

 

Missus and I are still watching Elementary which is always good. I always thought Jonny Lee Miller played Sherlock very well. The latest season is going a bit dark, which should be interesting.

 

I am loving the new series of Into the Badlands and The 100.

 

But still, my top spot shout out for some damn good TV goes to the Expanse. I was sad to hear that it might get cancelled, but interested to see where Amazon can take it for the next season. Still, even if this was the last season of it, it is amazing non the less.

I watched the final two episodes of Lucifer yesterday. Both excellent standalones and the final one could easily serve as a fitting conclusion to the whole thing.

 

Here's hoping the rumours are true and that the UK arm of Amazon Video are pushing hard to get this picked up by Amazon Studios

First season was quite good, then it started to go into a bit of a holding pattern. Some of the most annoying characters on TV including a boy who makes King Joffrey look positively well-balanced, and plot threads keep getting dropped/forgotten about. Started S4, but it's slipped way down the list. Apparently it at least has a proper ending.

 

There is almost certainly something you haven't watched that would be a much better way to spend your time, but I do intend to finish it at some point.

Just watching "Happy" on Netflix, loving it.

 

Ex-cop and now-hitman Nick Sax (Christopher Meloni) accidentally uncovers a secret about the Scaramucci crime family led by Mr. Blue (Ritchie Coster) and nearly pays for the discovery with his own life. Upon waking up at the hospital after getting shot, Nick finds that he can now see a blue unicorn who calls himself Happy (Patton Oswalt). Happy explains that he's the imaginary friend of Nick's estranged daughter Hailey (Bryce Lorenzo) and that Nick must rescue her from a Very Bad Santa (Joseph D. Reitman). With Happy's help, Nick hunts down Very Bad Santa and, at the same time, tries to get ahead of Mr. Blue and his men to save his own skin. "Happy!" also stars Lili Mirojnick as Det. Merry McCarthy, Medina Senghore as Amanda Hansen, and Patrick Fischler as Smoothie.

'Lucifer' will get a fourth season on Netflix

 

The series used to air on Fox before it was cancelled last month, but after a long #SaveLucifer campaign on social media -- and, according to Deadline, negotiations over domestic and international streaming rights of prior seasons -- the show will go on.

 

Like Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Expanse, middling ratings and a complicated streaming situation and played a role in Lucifer's status. Hulu has its streaming rights in the US, while Amazon (which was also reportedly interested) has the rights in the UK and Germany. Just one more thing to keep in mind when you're thinking about picking up a new series.

8 episodes later, its good, worth 4 hours of your time, 98% on RT, very different to other shows.

 

Bill Hader, Henry Winkler, Stephen Root, and D'Arcy Carden (Janet in The Good Place) is recurring.
