Crazy Ex-Girlfriend - renewed for final season The Crossing - cancelled (it's only just started!) Kevin (Probably) Saves the World - cancelled Bad news for the proposed Supernatural spin-off, Wayward Sisters, which (despite seeming a sure thing and having lots of fan support) the CW have declined to order to series. The usual campaign has been launched.

There's plenty of detail in the world they've created, and they're tapping into the existing lore quite nicely. Rather glad it's been quietly renewed for season 2.

There are a few "watch the trailer and maybe give it a go" shows, but nothing that seems a "must see". Maybe I'll get through some of my huge backlog. I was quite excited when I saw "New Amsterdam", but it turned out to be a medical drama and not a relaunch of the Nikolaj Coster-Waldau show about an immortal cop from 2008 .

I have heard the second idea floated before, but I just find that concept a bit defeatist.

The book 'Toast on toast' is also very good, i listened to the audio book and it's Matt Berry reading it out (Well who else could do it!) 1

I like that Johnny is the main protagonist and is a much more well-rounded character than in the film. Also seen the first 3 eps of "The New Legends of Monkey". Not good, but quite fun.
korifugi Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Browsing through Netflix (Everything but what you actually want to watch), I happened across the fact someone has seen fit to recreate ReBoot... Now, I really enjoyed it growing up and I sat to watch the 'teaser' that generally plays if you leave something highlighted for less than a picosecond. After about ten seconds I had to stop it as I felt the urge to yell "GET OFF MY CHILDHOOD!" at it. Fine - some of the updated stuff is great (See DangerMouse), but most of it appears to be utter dross created soley to destroy my childhood. What is going on?

A really superb cast (if you ignore the excellent Michael C Hall's British accents), terrifically well written and beautifully directed. Worth it for sure!

It's only because I know him as Dexter that his accent sounds funny. It's a great show though, would recommend.

It's not that he has a bad accent, more that he switches between five or six different good ones, sometimes in consecutive sentences. Fox are throwing fans of Lucifer a consolation prize: 2 eps from S3 that were held back for the now defunct S4 will be broadcast Memorial Day in the US. Don't get too excited as they sound like standalone out-of-continuity eps. At least one of them should be a cracker. They got Neil Gaiman to come play God for one of those! 1
