Novalee Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 We don't break up until Friday, but it seems the rest of the country have already hopped on their respective aeroplanes and are lying on a beach somewhere.
Sagima Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Do you start later or does your school have more teaching days than most?
dry Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 1.5 more days, and counting! It is peak cake season in the staffroom due to all the leavers and parties going on around school.... which is always nice
Iain.Faulkner Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Today is our last day! Can't wait for the students and staff to be gone now! So much to do, and can't do most of it until they all leave!!

Pink_Panda Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Really? We are finishing on Friday yep, same here.
Novalee Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 We're half day Friday. Usually it's a half week the last week of term, so seems strange to be here all week! I only work one week of the hols
rad Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 5 weeks Summer Holidays for some, must mean you had Easter Holidays when it wasnt the Easter weekend, Staff have had training days throughout the year etc. We chose to have Staff training evenings, which gave us a full 6 week break, Easter holidays were either side of the bank holiday weekend, so that means more teaching days and more holiday when you want it. Its the calm before the storm here.... Server upgrades happen next week.

That's what we did too - in both schools, so finished at lunchtime last Fri. The staff much prefer twilight sessions so that they get more holiday. One year we got just less than 5 weeks which was awful. Due to training days that I don't do - I get more than 6 weeks this year - yay!!!!

Do you not go back to work feeling a bit clueless and out the loop if you don't do the teacher days? I think all staff should be paid to attend.
