witch Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Sometimes - mostly they are doing some sort of training that wouldnt include me anyway. I would like to be there to sort out stuff when the children are not there. In the past, I have gone in and done things anyway - but I don't get paid and I don't do it anymore.
Novalee Posted July 22, 2015 Author Posted July 22, 2015 Do you not go back to work feeling a bit clueless and out the loop if you don't do the teacher days? I think all staff should be paid to attend. I am in on staff training days. Sometimes there's a whole staff briefing to start it off, then the teachers have 'training' whilst we just go and do our usual jobs. So not really necessary to be there in that respect. Although of course it's a useful day for us to have to crack on.
