ZoomStorm & VeryPC

Hello

 

I am currently looking at Zoostorm & VeryPC for some replacement computers, always been a Dell house but evaluating other options.

 

Can anyone give me any feedback on the two companies, on here or via PM?

 

I am interested in the quality & after sales support etc.

We ordered around 30 ZooStorms last year. 2 were DOA. ZooStorm sorted right away. Had an issue with hardware on one, sent back to zoostorm and was fixed or replaced and we received it back the same week.

 

Their support is fantastic and would highly recommend them. Never used VeryPC though so can't help there

Used Very Pc a few times at my previous School, did us a great deal and were really helpful in making sure the kit we got was right for us and within our budget, after sales support went above and beyond aswell, looking to use again in the near future.

I've used both and have been satisfied with them both. I would say zoostorm were quicker to respond to faults, but only just. The quality of the items varies but that's also down to the price and spec we required.

 

Zoostorm do great desktops, and very also do the tablets,nanos and All in ones as well so I would say you will be fine with either.

 

Put it this way, when I order my next batch of PCs the top two on my list will be zoostorm and very!

I've purchased from both companies and definitely favour VeryPC. They bend over backwards for you. Had 2 batches of dud power cables from Zoostorm.

We bought 120 Zoostorm PC's last year. 3 I think DOA which can be expected in such a large order.

 

To be honest since they have been setup and added to our network they have been flawless - one small criticism was their On / Off power button on the front of the PC's is a little over sensitive and we had the odd student knock it by mistake or with the keyboard only to find windows shutting down on them.

Out of ZooStorm and Stone, I'd go for Stone.

We had issues with DOAs and the support service with Stone is better than ZooStorm.

 

With ZooStorm if engineer isn't sent with correct parts, they won't return, they request PC is sent back to them.

Bought near identical machines from both Very and Zoostorm.

Although we've not had any failures from either, the build quality on the Zoostorms was beyond terrible. I would avoid them and anything by them like the plague.

VeryPC however are entirely the opposite, they couldn't be more helpful if they tried.

I have purchased both. Had one zoostorm fail and support was annoying and didn't live up to expectations. Verypc are fantastic. They bend over backwards to help. Quality is great and price is fantastic. Their flex pc chassis is great as you can secure all of the cables which keeps the kids out!

We have 15 ZooStorms here and they have been fine - no problems at all so far (3 years old)

 

And they run like a train - but then they aren't exactly stretched

Big fan of VeryPC here now. Great laptops so far! And they look swish with our logo design on the lid.

Not used either but seen both. No major complaints on either but the Zoostorm do seem to have a higher failure rate in one way or another. Just had a friend buy a Zoostorm at home to replace a fault machine and no issues so far. Again Stone, well build machines, we inherited a load of these a few year back and they kept going and going.

For note, the power supplies used in the Zoostorms have been a brandless POS that weighs less than a cheap mouse, whereas the Very boxes used Delta.

We use VeryPC, have done for years. Any problems we have had has been sorted that same day but normally in the hour. Guys over there are extremely helpful and will bend over backwards to get results. Just ordered our new server through them. Amazing price for what we got.

 

In a nut shell we are extremely happy with the service they provide and wouldn't go anywhere else.

VeryPCs are by Zoostorm if im not mistaken. I've had computers from both, and both have been great with 2 problems from Zoostorm out of 18PCs and no problems with VeryPCs.

You are mistaken - they just happen to share the chassis quite often - Ergo also use them. The internal hardware is chosen and built by the companies, hence the issue with Zoostorm build and component quality. I suspect @VeryPC won't be happy to see their name used in the same sentence as Zoostorm!

I've not bought bulk from VeryPC, but i've been super happy with the service from them. The service I've received from zoostorm for the 30-odd machines I have has been acceptable, but not in the same league as VeryPC.

Had 120 pcs from Zoostorm delivered back over Easter. Only 1 failure, which was repaired under warranty (3 yr).

If you weren't going to buy from myself I'd suggest @VeryPC every time.

 

Would never suggest Zoostorm, not even for home use. The components are never quite as good as the competition and I've heard (and read on here) too many tales of problems with hardware, support and sales to feel confident in recomending them to anyone.

We have 32 SFF Zoostorms and in two years we've had one fail, and with that an engineer was out the next day to fit a new motherboard.

We’ve bought from @VeryPC a few times and in bulk as well. Always been happy with the service and the 5 year warranty is a winner for us. Kit is always well made. When we did have an issue with one desktop it was dealt with very quickly.

We had 2 failures actually, 1 engineer send out to replace PSU next day, the other needed to be sent back, was collected by TNT and 2 days later was back repaired. 60SSF and 60MiniATX. Both failures where SSF. One issue with them is that some keep turning themselves back on again after they've shutdown. Nothing to worry about though, just turn power off at plug.

 

Build quality is perfectly acceptable, they use off the shelf components, it's a gigabyte mother board. Was pleasantly surprised when they also came with keyboards/mice, was thinking of buying replacement keyboards.

The Zoostorms that I've seen and used I've always been fairly impressed with. The cabling is neat inside the chassis and to my eye the choice of components, for price, tends to be pretty good. We have a couple of feeder schools using them. Not aware of any major complaints/issues.

 

I tend to get three quotes from VeryPC, Novatech and 'A.N.Other'. 95% of our business is split pretty evenly between VeryPC and Novatech with VeryPC being our preferred supplier on the customer service front. 'A.N.Other' tends to be either Stone or Ergo were we are after something specific (HardCase Pro's, NUC's, Classmates, etc).
