  1. Probably 2019. Our MAT email accounts don't appear to have the correct licensing assigned for ProPlus, so the only instances of that in use are those linked to our old 365 tenancy.
  2. We've just rolled out 10 Education and we've had some unique issues although not particularly those listed. What I would say is that the work that is required to implement simple things like user profiles, start menu etc, is a disgrace and made me want to torch the place on more than one occasion.
  3. Yeah, requests hit the default policy unauthenticated so if something's being blocked there then you need to know the precise time and then go digging for the URL. Also note that anything unblocked on the default policy will be accessible for all users irrespective of settings on other policies.
  4. I signed the NDA but unfortunately the timescales involved wouldn't have allowed us to have a look at the new platform before our renewal was up, so we made the decision to move. The work they had planned did seem a big step in the right direction.
  5. Thanks I'll give that a try. Could only see 'wixstatic.com' being blocked previously so fingers crossed...
  6. I've logged on here this morning to post exactly the same. Lots and lots of issues with content being blocked via the default policy. Our finance department are still unable to order online with a credit card as something is blocking the verification process, and our media students cannot access Wix.
  7. Issues today? They seem to be swamped and aren't answering calls.
  8. Hi, I realise this has been extensively covered in many threads on here, but wonder if anyone has any advice for a poor NM trying to get a Windows 10 Education 1803 build ready for next week, who is singularly failing to deploy printers? I've added the printers to a User GPO in GPP, with item-level targeting to target printers per OU. Doesn't work. I've amended point-to-print settings etc and still no luck. Would anyone who has this working be willing to share their settings? I'd ideally like to work through this myself but time is becoming tight...
  9. OK. You probably have an old address of mine on record.
  10. Are we meant to have had an email about the upgrade?
  11. Also send a copy to your local MP, and the local newspaper, and post it on the school social media accounts.
  12. We've had laptops from them in the past but unfortunately both the hardware and the subsequent support was found to be less than great.
  13. Looking at ours, I just have it set to 'automatically decline updates when a revision causes them to expire.' Installation wise, I have the GPO item 'Allow Automatic Updates immediate installation' set and this allows the definitions to roll out and install pretty quickly.
  14. Looks like the updates aren't installing on the clients hence why everything is showing as required. Are you implementing this for the first time or was it something that was previously working?
  15. Started with LTSB but in the end moved over to Education. Find it easier to remove anything we don't want/need than bodging things in that we find are missing.
  16. I have to say the crowing about 100% uptime is a bit galling given our experience since moving over. The upcoming changes I'm sure will improve things, but the question has to be asked why it was rolled out in its current state, which in my opinion in many areas is not fit for purpose. Our contract is up in November and I am counting the days.
  17. Right you are. Thanks.
  18. Morning. Spot the issue: As such the wrong lessons are displaying for Tuesday, making adding cover quite difficult. I'm not particularly familiar with SIMS cover or timetabling, so any ideas what is causing this/what needs correcting? Any help would be appreciated as I'm struggling to get anything from Capita.
  19. Really struggling with how much content is being blocked via the default policy, particularly on mobile devices. Given the way the filtering works, it's then very difficult to allow access without opening up sites and apps to all users. Grr.
  20. It's political correctness gone mad.
  21. Our MAT's tenancy is currently unavailable, however our old 365 tenancy seems to be working fine.
  22. Is that with a blanket filter policy set for the whole range, or are users able to authenticate against their AD credentials?
  23. Maybe, but apparently only on iOS devices. Our BYOD config now consists of a new DC on the BYOD network, with a firewall rule allowing it to sync with a DC and authportal on the main network. Clients are then able to authenticate with AD credentials whilst on the other IP range. I don't like it but it does work once devices are configured correctly. Unfortunately it looks like we won't be able to get the Meraki splash page functioning correctly with the new config so I'm going to have to produce an internally-hosted splash page to clue users in to the first-time configuration. It will be a fun Easter writing documentation and testing all of this. Here's hoping future Netsweeper updates will allow a return to a simpler BYOD solution.
  24. Has anyone else who's migrated had an issue with iOS clients taking an age to recognise connectivity, even once proxy/certificate/trust settings are configured? Regularly takes anything from 30 seconds to a couple of minutes from joining the SSID and getting an IP, to the wifi icon showing top left and users being able to browse and hit authportal to authenticate. Very strange behaviour and I can't seem to get to the bottom of what's going on.
  25. Well I'm glad you're happy with it!
