Did you use a tripod or just free hand? Im looking at your details for the shot and it says you used a flash? Was it an external flash?

Was it an external flash? Hi, This was hand-held - I was going to go off camera flash but instead just stuck it on the camera and bounced it off the ceiling and wall.

While the DOF looks curved, i don't think it is, it's just the curvature of the lavender. The actual distance of the in-focus lavender on the left hand side, is the same distance from the camera as the in-focus lavender on the right hand side.

Quite a challenge trying to snap cars through fences, trees, hedges and people! I didn't take my camera in the end, the fence being so close to the track doesn't make for good photos!
