  1. Hope this helps https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=what+is+gvt1.com%3F&oq=what+is+gvt1.com%3F&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l2.6399j0j8&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
  2. I use a watering can filled with cold tap water with a generous amount of cheap table salt in it. No danger of the screen cracking and the salt helps clear the ice fast
  3. Southampton - plenty of the old City Walls/Bargate that you could get some interesting views of/from. I believe the Civic Centre clock tower is accessible so that could be a good vantage point for you. Rivers and bridges close by (eg Itchen Bridge). Also a quick trip to the docks (10 minutes in the car) might give you some good shots of any large ocean liners currently moored there. If you added a night in at Salisbury then you'd get a chance to drive by Stonehenge and Salisbury itself is interesting.
  4. Wireless car charging https://www.pluglesspower.com/learn-about-plugless/
  5. It's a good article if you have time to read it; Please Stop Calling Suicide Victims "Selfish" or "Weak" "Suicide isn’t cowardly. It’s not weakness. It isn’t selfish. It’s born of a hopelessness that can imagine no other way out. It is a thick, pitch black haze created by powerful personal demons that prevents you from seeing light."
  6. You have no idea, you really don't and I find your comments bordering on heartless. I hope you never meet the Black Dog yourself.
  7. This shows the ignorance that abounds about mental health and depression
  8. The cost of public transport on the Island was crazy when we went there for a day - it made me wish I'd taken the car, it would have been cheaper
  9. Finally got a shot or 200 of a Kingfisher at the weekend and several others of various insects
  10. The Cowshed in Scarborough - ok burgers but expensive. Decent selection, small portions, tasty sweet potato fries. The Fox Hound Pub at Flixton Near Scarborough - excellent gourmet style burgers that really fill you up - good choice of toppings/varieties (Personal favourite is the Chichen Itza, stuffed with Guacamole, salsa, jalapenos, a few nachos and sour cream (possibly an onion ring too)) - home made chips and what seems like 2lb of coleslaw accompany these beasts. Both establishments are eat in only
  11. Going on your forum name I quite like sheepymcsheepface.co.uk
  12. Looks like he did bet on a couple that he played in https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/apr/27/joey-barton-football-association-ban-gambling Further details revealed in the judgment include the fact Barton made 42 bets on 20 games which involved his own team, from a total of 1,620. Of those 42 bets, 15 were on his team to lose. Of the 20 matches he did bet on Barton played in only two.
  13. Sorry for your loss. One thing that surprised me was that some crems have restrictions on what you can play at a funeral (ie if it isn't on their list you can't have it - Southampton crem was like this when my dad died). Other crems will let you play anything you like (Barnsley were particularly helpful in this respect) If it is at a crem the Funeral Director should have a good idea of any 'rules' regarding music. As regards viewings I've always found that FD's will be pretty accommodating as it's a stressful time for the family and they will normally have someone on duty 365 days of the year. If it's at a Church I wouldnt have thought there would be any restrictions on music choices
  14. I use 2 2TB external hard drives + my laptop. Backup from laptop to 1 HDD every time I take some pics and then HDD 1 is backed up weekly to the 2nd HDD which I keep in a different place to HDD 1. Obviously the more I take the more I backup across the 3 devices. I know online/cloud backup seems to be the way to go but at least this way I keep control of my pics and can choose what I share.
