Fifteen minutes leisurely amble to work in warm weather, ten minutes brisk walk in cold.

Generally, three tracks on the iPhone is how I measure it, ymmv.

Average is a 100 mile round trip, can be as low as 50 and as high as 200 (thanksfully not very often!) the downside of being a self employed techie with schools and businesses over a wide area!

My round trip is 40m.

In 1996 I used to work just past Cowley, Oxford which was a 104m round trip.

Mental. Far too much. I used to drive home completely knackered.

It seems people are quite close yo their workplace. I wish I was. Would buy a suzuki gsx1000 if I was 8 miles from my workplace

About 15 miles each way, Radio 2 is the rock upon which I base my day :)

Breakfast show on the way in and the Drivetime Confession on the way home.

I've got it easy. ICT John drives 65 miles each way!!!

Roughly 18 miles to work and 16 home again, and 18 both ways on Friday - different routes due to avoiding local traffic congestion.

Takes around 25 minutes in the morning and between 25 and 40 in the evening depending on traffic at one particular impossible to avoid junction - only alternative route is about 10 miles further and 20 minutes longer

3 hrs round trip public transport and walk.

Used to be in the field and covering 65K plus a year so at least now I can leave the driving to someone else and fall asleep If I can.

mrwitch used to do 75 miles to work with no motorway - used to take him 2.5 hours each way. Nearly killed him.

Me? One school is 1 mile away and the other is 4

It's great but puts me off changing job as I can't bear the thought of the commute :(

Quarter of a mile. That would have been around 14 seconds in my old Mitsubishi GTO TT!

Takes about 2-3 mins on foot.

It does have its downside though - the car battery is always flat as I don't use it daily.
