Needless to say this is another sale trap I've fallen into and bought, adding to my collection of many many other games that I've bought in sales but haven't loaded the Main Menu yet.. some that I'd bought 5 years ago! Bloody steam sales. EDIT: Also, not sure if any of you use this but I found it recently and it's very handy. Steam Sales Tracker - it also has that calculator tool which can depress you by revealing how many games you've bought and not played. Mine is at 49% not played... oh dear.

Unfortunately I'm "one of those" people who installed Windows 8 but then also installed StartIsBack. I just prefer the start menu as, for me, it's more practical. I may get to grips with Modern UI/Metro one day, but I'm not ready to let go just yet. Baby steps! I must say though, while I'm not keen on the standard W8 metro interface yet, the actual OS itself - under all the makeup - is brilliant. Not surprised W9 has already been rumored though, I look forward to the previews.

One of those mornings where I still haven't woken up yet (/zombiemode) I'm setting up WSUS and I came across this particular GP: Enable Client-side Targeting, but I can't for the life of me comprehend what it does/means.. Any chance someone can be a dear and explain it in basic terms? Cheers!

Don't get me wrong, it was so cute. It was just chilling like that for a good 20-odd minutes of me being in there and it was just staring at me with its Pug-like face. Could even see its teeny-tiny teeth haha. Just wasn't expecting it to spread its wings the size of Europe and take off bloody funny though, I miss it already

Came into work this morning to find this chap chilling on my desk. I'd left the windows open in my office overnight.. won't be doing that again! I took that photo initially to ask what it was as I honestly had no idea, it was when I moved in for another picture I must have woken him up because that sod spread its wings like "Deal With It." and had a right party whizzing around my office! Thankfully he went out the window and back to our Bat Roost (main building is a Victorian Manor, bat roost in the basement which has an open-hatch entrance from the courtyard - they come out and fly around most nights, and we obviously can't move them because they're protected. S'all good!) - Not ashamed to say I did squeal like a girl when it revealed its true identity.. gave me the bloody shivers

GTA 3, VC and SA no problem - but it'll probably take the remaining time just to get GTA 4 to play properly/optimised!

KOTOR 1 was fantastic, KOTOR 2 was okay but would have been better if massive amounts of content hadn't been cut (thank-you for mods, luckily!) - I loved the Mass Effect series, but ME1 was definitely the strongest. The Last of Us is just beautiful, and this may be cliché and not strictly 'realistic' but I reckon Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has one of the best stories within the GTA universe.

Not the strongest of openers, but it wasn't bad. The rest of the series sounds more promising however. The dinosaur felt completely irrelevant to the episode and they probably could've left it out, I liked the clockwork droids - especially how it was aware of its references from The Girl in the Fireplace (Madame De Pompadour) Matt Smith's cameo.... ayeee..... first time I watched the episode it left me feeling A) P155'd off B) Sympathetic for Capaldi as it was like it undermined him and stole the limelight again. But then I watched it again and I could see why they did it, you can tell by his dialouge that it's really a message to the fans as well, MS telling them all that this is really happening and you need to give him a chance. Personally I grew up watching Classic Who on GOLD before 2005 when the show rebooted, so such a message for me and other proper Whovians isn't needed - but let's face it, over 50% of current Whovians are people who only joined the bandwagon because of the pretty boys - particularly when Tenant made the big time toward the end of Series 2. Now, if we reverse back to The Eleventh Hour - MS' first episode. If they had made a cameo appearance from Tenant, THAT would've been insulting and shoe-horning, particularly as smith was practically a newbie and had barely been heard of by most. But with Capaldi? I don't think it's any bother. He's well known, he's a huge character - and while he may be different, I think it's a good kick up the arse that the show needs. I've wanted to see a dark doctor for ages. Colin Baker had the right idea but was never given the opportunity, so fingers crossed Capaldi will ace it - and let's remember he's an actual lifetime fan, this isn't something his agent suggested him to attend rehearsals for. He's wanted this since he was a boy, I doubt he'll want to muck it up. While Colin Baker's being spoken of too, let's not forget that it wasn't Baker that was bad - it was the scripts they gave him. AFAIR it was a certain high-up in the BBC around that time who hated Doctor Who and wanted to get rid of it. A boycott? Perhaps. If you look through some of his interviews, he wanted to wear black - but they insisted on the Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat look. He was pretty much given no say in any decisions and was forced to go with all the things that were terrible with his era as we all remember. tl;dr - First episode wasn't great but not due to Capaldi, Capaldi was brill and I look forward to the rest of the series - upcoming episodes sound very exciting. Matt Smith cameo was a bit lame but needed for the 'pretty boy' whovians to put them at ease and be more forgiving for Capaldi. Dark Doctors rule. The end. EDIT: I loved the new theme graphics, but the soundtrack will take a few episodes to grow fond of... just sounded a bit too high-pitched, particularly as this is a darker doctor now. Oh well, I'll grow to love it!

Sad thing is, those that will refuse the filtering opt-in will end up going on a "keep a close eye on that one" list. It's lose-lose either way.
