Unfortunately I have, even checking with inSSIDer to see who's using what, it makes no difference I did consider if it was the low range/signal, but even after moving all my PC downstairs and connecting with the wireless it was still painfully slow/crawling, it still is right now.. so no idea. I has to be the router, to be expected since it was around £40 so you get what you pay for I guess! Time to do upgrade to AC royalty I think!

Sounds great, I'll give it a look! what wireless adapter do you use for your PC (USB or PCIe?) Only asking as this belkin one I have is getting on a bit now, might as well upgrade to an AC one if I get that Asus router! EDIT: Any chance you could let me know which model you have? Only when you've got a spare minute or so to check, cheers!

Haha cheers - I've seen those Homeplugs before but I wasn't sure if they were just a gimmick that was overpriced, have they been reliable for you? And are they 'friendly' on the electricity bill?

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I've had this for a few weeks now and it's starting to do my head in now, so thought I'd post! The wireless starts off fine, then it starts to get slower and slower and eventually crawls to a complete halt until I reboot all the equipment, including having to unplug-replug the USB adapter - it's the same for my laptop as well, and - only a few occasions however - my phone, even with their own built-in antennas - Physical connections, however, are absolutely fine and dandy and aren't affected. It's slow to the point I can't ping the router ('Request timed out') and can't access the web panel either, what the hell am I doing wrong with these things?! I've currently got a Linksys E1200 and a Belkin Wireless N USB adapter (the old 'big' style that sits on the extender,) is it the fact I'm using cheap equipment and it can't cope with the amount of data going round? (I have a brother who festers on xbox live and I do a lot of online gaming too or video streaming) Just thought I'd ask, not expecting miracles but I can hope!! (Before anyone says it, it's currently impractical for me to have a permanent physical connection hence why I'm stuck with wireless for the time being )

Recruitment agencies are dotted around main cities/towns (Not sure if they're in EVERY location or just 'most',) have a drive round to the different "?" icons and you'll eventually find them it's useful to find multiple agencies as you'll have a broader platform for different drivers (range of skills etc. will go up)

Then, get a loan and buy yourself a garage and 2 trucks, recruit 2 drivers and knuckle down on the Freight Market. You'll soon forget all about the loan and start building your monopoly so long as you attack it right, you'll do well! EDIT: There are plenty of different methods of how to go in with this game, the above worked for me though - and I believe it did for @nephilim too, or at least a similar way

If you're running it directly from CMD you need to use %i rather than %%i, I think? EDIT: Yes, if you're inputting it directly in CMD you need to use %i, if running from a .bat then you use %%i

We have 2 of these TragicInfo's, even after upgrading the RAM it was still painfully slow - honestly, it's not worth spending more money on them. We'll most likely be going down the Acer Revo route and just use standard LCD screens.

Unfortunately the term 'enthusiasts' is loosely used these days, just like Hacking or 'Geniuses' in Apple stores. Pistonheads can be okay but it takes a while to learn which areas to avoid and realise that 90% of the membership are "POWERRRRRRRRRRR!!1!1!one" who use phrases like "'er indoors." You'll probably find most of those on the LR forums now (excluding the veteran users) simply drive the Chelsea Tractor models, judging by those answers you received. Worst one for me was for my Corsa D after asking about a 'knocking' noise coming from the N/S front. Unfortunately since it's a car that's mainly driven by chavs the forum members reflected this statistic quite well, you can probably guesstimate some of the answers yourself. I'd say no forum is perfect but never give up on them, have a good look around - I tend to find that the small/less-noticed forums are better than the 1st result on Google forums - you just have to do a bit of digging to eventually find people that aren't so narrow-minded or plainly idiotic

We have T440's with this trackpad. Some of the staff love it, I can't stand it - much prefer to have separate buttons than having to make sure I press it in a precise location in the bottom-right to make it right-click, otherwise the entire square behaves as a tap/left-click. Looks sleek, yes, but just doesn't work.

Ignoring that Windows ManyErrors was my first OS, I consider XP my first proper OS. Like @abillybob, it's where I learnt the ins and outs to start from and what started my adventure into this mad industry! While I will miss it dearly, it definitely needed to retire and I do think people/businesses need to accept it and move on - it's just not up to the task anymore. I imagine it will be a few years yet 'til we see XP's "next-gen" cousin, but Windows 7 is filling in that void nicely for me right now

I've been with 3 since February after being on a 24-month contract with T-Mobile (which had then switched to EE during the contract) and I know I made the right choice. Excellent coverage, they have a cool App so I can easily check my remaining allowance with ease and the bonus is I've now gone from a £40 a month contract to a £12.90 a month rolling contract. Yay! (That's for All You Can Eat data, 200 mins and 5000 texts) - I tend to be on my WiFi more but I believe their AYCE data is very reasonable anyway, I haven't heard any complaints from people I know with 3 too. I'd say go for it Also, I did hear that 3 provide 4G signal to you for no extra charge when it becomes available in your area. I may be wrong on that though so don't hold me to it!

Hmm, AKG K450 or AKG K451.. £10 difference on Amazon. I don't mind making the wallet a bit lighter, just so long as they're decent headphones. "You get what you pay for" and all that EDIT: Ooh, AKG K452 for £56. And they look sexy in blue. Tempting..

Proper overthehead ones, not crappy 'ear bud' ones that belong in a Christmas cracker. Unfortunately my Steelseries Siberia V2 set has decided enough is enough after four good years of use so I'd like to buy a new set, just seeing if any of you folks have one in mind you'd recommend I look at. It must have a microphone, and must have good sound quality as I also like to listen to my music very loud with them. Cheers all

@hailstorm We were looking at Ruckus but decided to try UniFi. Ruckus appears to be great and I would've loved to have gone with it but due to budget complications with our company (we're one of many schools) we had to be a bit more sensible so opted for the UniFi. They are lovely bits of kit if you can't quite reach a Ruckus setup and I've not had any problems so far, they're worth a look at least. Like I say, no criticism to Ruckus at all, just giving my two pennies worth good luck with whatever you go with.

Being so rich I can do the "WELCOME TO MY WORLD!" lottery adverts and have a white condo with sexy parties and having a bubble machine that looks like a pipe, wearing a Hugh Hefner gown... not sure what all that says about me O_O but sod it! But in reality though, I'd like to get to some form of Senior/Manager level one day. Whether I'd stay in Education is a different matter, I quite like the idea of doing something field based/multiple sites as I love variety. It's a tough question for most of us younger folk though, really - I still can't settle with one car for more than half a year, never mind a job! one of my friendlings ended up becoming a consultant, another became the school's ICT Coordinator. It can vary so much these days

Admittedly it was my own stupid fault for deploying all updates across site rather than a test machine first, so maybe I should try that approach and if all works well I'll then deploy after. Thanks for the responses, has put my confidence of using it back up

Hi all, A while back (around December) I had just setup WSUS and all was going very well for my first time using it. Unfortunately though, at some point, all the PCs on site had a very odd error where any users created the day after our Exchange server was upgraded to 2013 (from the external IT support company we use for major systems) had profile corruption issues. The theme went back to Windows Classic, and Outlook refused to open (Cannot open default email folders) I uninstalled WSUS, reimaged all the PCs (it was the only fix I could find.. tedious!) and forgot all about it as it had put me off. However WSUS seems such a useful utility and I really want to learn how to use it better, but that incident put me off using it again. I was just curious to know if anybody has come across the above issues before? Was it WSUS? Was it something weird with the Exchange server upgrade? Or am I just an unlucky sod? Thank you Lé Amateur

Like most ISP-provided equipment, it's really not that perfect - especially for wireless. I'd definitely recommend you switch it into Modem Mode and buy a separate router, that's what I always did; never missed a beat (though I was with the original Superhub, not sure what the new version is like as I unfortunately have to be with BT now due to location)
