  1. More details here https://support.google.com/a/answer/9377793?hl=en
  2. I would check through Edugeek posts for experiences with Cunninghams. We were with them for a number of years, their helpdesk was always overwhelmed around Sept time and it would take weeks to get any response if at all. Maybe it's different now as this was a few years ago. We left and joined Biostore, have not had any major issues with the system. Much easier to use than Cunninghams old Impact software which was outdated and awful. I think they have updated their software now though.
  3. If you don't mind, I will take you up on that. My configuration will be coming across to you via email soon.
  4. The parents have reluctantly accepted that we have done all we can. Whilst on site the student is in a safe environment and there are many staff on hand to help if an incident occurred. Thanks for all your suggestions everyone.
  5. Thanks. Couple of follow up questions if I may. When you say "split the year group into 2" do you mean over 2 nights? If so how many hours did the events last for per night? How did your Teachers feel about this if each Parents Evening was over 2 nights?
  6. We have used eCarePlus in the past. We went through a reseller but I am sure you could go direct. https://www.ecareplus.co.uk/
  7. A question for those schools with large year groups. If you are now using video parents evening Systems do you try to cram in the parents evening into one evening or do you spread it across 2 days? Where we have Teachers possibly teaching 3 to 4 sets it makes it very difficult to give every parent a time slot.
  8. Isn't there Switch Independent Teaming now?
  9. There is a separate thread on this http://www.edugeek.net/forums/security/220988-cyber-essentials-schools.html
  10. I know this is an old thread but as I started it and we are now back to looking at a 1:1 scheme I wanted to ask a few more questions for those that run schemes like this. We are considering offering this to Y7 and wanted to know; What do students do with the devices when not in use? ie break and lunchtimes? How did you deal with parents who were anxious about safety of their child carrying a device to and from school? To me the kids probably have a smart phone that is much more expensive than any Chromebook they may be carrying!
  11. @Arthur - Which version of Veeam are you using? We have Standard but looking on Backblaze site it looks like we need "tiger bridge" as a go between?
  12. It was mainly due to the availability of the trailers and whether they would be age appropriate.
  13. Been asked to allow it but I am not sure.
  14. We just put the first name as the initial
  15. Did you go with them in the end?
  16. I have the same issue! Would be good to retire the old method.
  17. We use Salamander which does similar to Locker. Salamander creates new classes each year and it is up to the Teachers to archive the old classes. Salamander automatically moves the students out of the old classes and promotes them to the new ones so really only the Teachers can still see their old classes. Teachers also have the new classes added based on what is in the MIS.
  18. Yes. When you register and login for the first time you have to send them a separate email for them to activate your account.
  19. Have you seen MailCheck from the NCSC? https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/blog-post/helping-secure-public-sector-email-mail-check
  20. We have decided to purchase the ROHOS 2FA system after using the trial version. The 2FA challenge only appears after the user logs in and tries to access one of the Remote Apps. As we only present RemoteApps via the HTML5 web client and no desktops this should be ok shouldn't it?
  21. There is also GoPhish which is open source. https://getgophish.com/
  22. Do you use Google Classroom? These sound like notifications from Google Classroom.
  23. Does Rohos work with the RDS HTML5 web client?
  24. I wish it showed which users had signed up to the services!
