Stepping through the instructions I have got to Step 3 where I need to enter values under the Set-MsolDomainAuthentication command. I enter the domain name (which is the same in both MS and Google) and then get asked for "Authentication" where I enter "federated" as instructed but then get an error "You cannot remove this domain as the default domain without replacing it with another default domain" Confused Any ideas?

No SSO unfortunately. Also Microsoft 365 is only for a small subset of users.

First time I am setting anything up for students\staff in Microsoft 365. I have created a number of accounts but how do I get the info out to users and what is the initial password they need to use? Do I set that? We are primarily a Google School and use Gmail so I have used their Google email addresses as their user names. If I do a "reset password" for the user in the admin portal will this send them an email with details?

Sorry to ressurrect this old thread but we have just had a new gate entry system installed. It is a standalone system and uses Paxton Net2 cards. Our catering (Biostore) and printing (Papercut) use 1K Mifare cards. Would the Mifare cards work if the codes are converted with the Paxton system? Alternatively if we replaced our Mifare cards with Paxton cards would the Net2 cards work with Biostore and Papercut?

I think you would have to have a BIOS password so you cant get to the PXE option until the BIOS password is input.

I have the same issue, my chrome randomly crashes at least once a day.

Does anyone who uses the Gov.Notify service for sending SMS messages know how to schedule SMS messages please? It is mentioned on their site but no details on how you do this. I have asked them but no reply as yet. Hoping someone on here knows.

I did think that, but I have bypassed filters for my handset and still cannot get the phonebook. Was working fine last week!

We use 3CX hosted by Spitfire and suddenly since last week the 3CX phonebook normally accessible from the handsets no longer loads. We get "Cannot download remote phonebook" on each handset we try across 2 different sites. Anyone come across this before? Spitfire are looking into it but I don't think they know what is causing it.

I am Super Admin on 1 school domain and the "Manager" on a shared drive in another school domain. I have all the right settings in Drives and Docs to allow me to move files out of a shared drive in the first domain but when I try I get "You can't moves files outside of 'school name' ". I have a ticket open with Google Support but the tech there cannot work out what the issue is. I was hoping someone on here might have a clue?

Is it possible to use Google Forms to collect personal information from parents from a Data protection point of view? SLT want to send out consent forms for the 12-15 vaccinations. The form will collect home addresses, DOB, contact numbers, NHS number etc.

We now have Wonde creating new pupils incorrectly in Google. We have a different naming convention for pupils and staff and all new pupils are currently being created as staff style accounts. Been emailing Wonde without a successful solution. Delete Google accounts and let Wonde do the creation again was the suggestion from Wonde but that didnt work as Wonde just created the same style accounts again. Not happy with Wonde at the moment!!

@rogerdnixon At the moment we have "Restrict sign in to a list of users" where we user *@ourdomain to restrict users to only logging in with their schools accounts. If we want to use the off hours functionality do we need to remove this restrict option and change it to "Allow any user to sign in"?

Sounds like it has lost licence details as I believe 10 users is what you get in the unlicensed version ie trial version.
