BBC website images through Smoothwall issue

Is it 1st April already?

I thought there was a Smoothwall Direct Support forum page here but cannot find it so I am putting this question here. Since yesterday we have found that the BBC website will not show images when clicking into any article. We just get a grey placeholder where the image should be. If I put the PC in exceptions then the images load fine. I have raised a ticket with Smoothwall but just wondered if anyone else using Smoothwall could test this out? We are on Leeds 55.

sorry to resurrect this old thread but did anyone get a definitive answer? We are about to remove the last of our Promethean boards and replace them with BenQ and Viewsonic touchscreens but the teaching staff want to continue using ActiveInspire.

I reported it to smoothwall earlier as it was getting through our smoothwall so hopefully they blocked it before you tried it. -

I thought they were bypassing the filters as the teacher reporting said they were playing games but turns out that in the start menu under games there is a list of "online games" that seem to work, including Among us. -
Some of our students have been found using a site that provides a version of Windows 7 and are using this to bypass the school filters to play games Worth checking if it gets through at your school. We have now blocked it. https://win7simu.visnalize.com/

Did you get this resolved? Facing same issue here -
I have to say we have had no major issues with Biostore since install 4 years ago. Initiallly when they were taken over by IRIS the helpdesk system was changed and it took a while to get help sometimes but once you get to the Biostore Engineers they are very good and can fix any issue quickly. I would say we are very happy with Biostore, having come from Cunninghams which was always a nightmare.

Does anyone use Admissions+? They seem to integrate with all the major MIS out there. Is it any good? What is support like?

Sorry for resurrecting this thread once again but I have finally got around to installing Unity. Couple of questions; Do you deploy the Unity Hub? If so how do you point it at the Unity Install path? For me it seems every user needs to point it at the Unity.exe file. Here users cannot browse the C drive so currently making it diffucult for a user to browse to the unity.exe file as it resides in program files. Is there any way to set the location of the install in Unity Hub globally so it is registered for every user?

As schools will have to sign up for a 3 year contract if they dont have time/wish to do a quick tender for a new supplier and in the renewal notice they have been told that Year 1 prices will remain the same but year 2 & 3 prices could change. Does this mean that when it comes to Year 2 and 3 that ESS could substantially increase the price and schools have no comeback as they were warned that prices would be going up?
