We are a Google School. We have Google Sites but not sure how that could be set up to emulate a Facebook/Instagram Business page.

I have just done a parent open evening similar to your requirement. I did it using ticketsource.co.uk and created an event for every slot. Sounds long winded but once you create one event you can then copy and edit more quite easily. As you won’t be charging entry for the event it is free to create.

If any schools are being successful in pushing for 1 year renewals for SIMS can you please confirm in this thread? We then have some more sway with ESS that they have done it for other schools. At least a 1 year renewal then gives us some breathing space.

It is actually in the specification as noted by @clareq above! @clareq do you have the qualification at your school? If so how are you dealing with it?

We have just had a request to allow access to Facebook and Instagram as students doing IT are required, as part of the Pearson BTEC Level 3 Certificate in IT, to create Business accounts on these platforms. As far as i am aware you need to create a personal account on both platforms before you can create a business presence. If your school is running the same qualification how are you dealing with this?

We also let the parents know that when using personal accounts the responsibility lies with them for activities done whilst logged in. We only monitor when student uses school account.

Thanks for highlighting this. Our SLT were just about to sign the renewal when I pointed the new term out. Sneakily put right at the bottom of the renewal notice! Did you get any response from them yet? Which email address did you write to as the renewal notice does not have any email contact details on it.

We have 8 HP 250 G8 laptops (not from DfE) that we are having issues imaging using MDT/WDS. I have downloaded the HP WINPE 10 drivers from their site and put these in our WINPE image. The image looks like it deploys but on first reboot we get a blue screen with "Inaccessible boot device" These laptops have Hynix NVMe drives. I have no idea what is going wrong. A quick Google and it seems we need to use F6flpy-x64 - VMD drivers which we have already done. Does anyone have any ideas please?

Good question. I am always logged in as we are a Google school. I will try it now without logging in.

Just checked and nothing jumps out as the culprit We do have PDQ deploy but nothing set to auto install or update.

Not sure what is going on but Chrome on my desktop closes each day at 3.32pm precisely. Has been doing this for weeks. I have reinstalled Chrome and even changed PCs. Anyone any ideas please? Google shows others have experienced similar but I can't find any solutions.
