Do any of you wear school branded "IT Support" shirts or polo shirts? We have always worn smart shirt and trousers unless it is school holidays when jeans and t-shirts are the norm. We provide support across 2 Schools now and this may increase as the Trust grows and I was wondering if we should go for "IT Support" polo shirts/sweat shirts. If any of you do this, where do you buy? Don't want to buy cheap and buy twice!

We have successfully been using GCDS in a scheduled task to run every night for almost 6 years. Suddenly we have found that the task now fails and we have not made any changes. Running the task gives "No Config Specified - No Configuration file is specified. You cannot perform explicit command line actions without a valid configuration file" The config file has not been changed or moved. It just doesn't make any sense why it would suddenly stop working. Running GCDS manually works fine. It is just the scheduled task with the sync-cmd We have also updated to the latest version of GCDS with no joy. Any ideas please?

Trying to upload data to Apple School Manager using a free utility from Salamander and it gets blocked by our ISP Firewall. We don't have access to it and need to submit a request. They only deal with IP addresses and not Host names so have asked for the IP addresses needed. The only thing I can find on the net is that Apple recommend allowing 17.0.0.0/8 for all Apple Services. Not sure I want to allow the whole range so does anyone know of the IP addresses that I need to upload data to Apple School Manager?

I would get the trial of School Cloud and to a test parents evening to show how well it works.

Want to set up 2FA so users are required to use Microsoft Authenticator or similar as 2nd Factor when logging in from home via the Remote Gateway. Anyone done this or something along these lines?

That sounds like it could be it as some of them do use Teams. The only thing that doesnt make sense is that they use the domain name ****.org.uk which is an acronym of the full name and I have a domain registered with the full name but they do not use that and it is not associated with any email addresses they use. Did the Domain Registrar or MS link the 2 somehow? The users only exist in the acronym version of the domain name. Also as MS say they need to verify that we are an education domain, the users are all listed with @onmicrosoft.com addresses.

I am trying to set up an Office365 Tenant at Trust level (central services). We do not currently have one in any of our Schools or at the Trust Level. We all use Google everywhere and I am only really familiar with Google. For the Trust I have several domain names registered in .com, org.uk formats. Only one of these has Gmail MX records configured and all the rest are just domain names with no settings. When I created a new Office365 Tenant using one of the unused domain names and allowed the MS setup to configure the MX records, it completed successfully but listed 6 users. These users are people who work at the Trust but it makes no sense to me where it has got the names!!! Can anyone shed any light on this please?

The Footage has already been downloaded as a DAV file. In SmartPSS I click on "local" and then load the file. The only options I see are Export Progress, Export File and Open file.

I have Smartpss. I have saved the clip as a DAV file and loaded locally into SmartPSS. I cant see an option to export as MP4. Any ideas please?

We have Smoothwall too and have put dexcom.com into Custom allow and it does go through. The bit that doesn't make sense is that the parent says it stops working. If it was firewall or Smoothwall blocking it then nothing would get through surely?

I suggested this to the parent but was told that even at night when the child is asleep the phone is transmitting so it cant be affected by the screen going off.

We have a couple of students who have Glucose Monitors that constantly monitor their Glucose levels and then transmit this info via their phones to their parents. We connect the phone to the WiFi and data gets through but the parent is saying after the initial data it then loses connection. If the data is being transmitted initially that would mean that the WiFi and School systems are letting the data through and it is not getting blocked. Don't understand why it would then stop working during the day. Anyone have any students that use these systems? One of the manufacturers is Dexcom. Does it work in your School?

Our Dahua CCTV system downloads files in DAV format. Need to send some to the Police on an encrypted USB but they cant play the DAV file without the Dahua Smart Player. Is there a way to convert the DAV file to AVI or MP4 so it can easily be played?

School have never done it directly but I have ordered items from ebay and then put in a claim for the money.

Issue is that these are domain machines and more users are getting the problem.

We use a mixture of GUI and CLI using Putty.

How much visibility do you get as a school to ParentPay? Can you see balances on there to compare with what Fastrak says?

We use 2930f's stacked and have had no issues. Haven't used Aruba Central, is it expensive?
