I didn't know about this but then I have been using SpecOps GPUpdate in AD for years that does this. https://specopssoft.com/product/specops-gpupdate/ SpecOps can start and shutdown PCs via AD as well.

Our problem is that not only do they want Meets with Students they want Meets with external agencies/people who obviously don't have Google IDs. We had to allow the anonymous access.

Yes, we gave up on this. For us it did seem to be smoothwall as when we put the machine into Exceptions it would work. Smoothwall never managed to fix it for us and now that we are mostly G Suite based it's not an issue anymore.

Where can you do this please? I have just tried to change the Meeting ID in Calendar to a nickname and I get "You can only enter an existing meeting code"

Does anyone who uses Wonde know how to force it to check for new users in SIMS? I have added 7 today and I need to get them to sync today but I cant seem to get Wonde to recognise them. I normally wait overnight and then they appear in Wonde but can I force it?

I gave them a call and they were very helpful. the guy gave me a new copy of the Net2 software and talked me through what I need to do. Unfortunately I have to start from scratch. They do have a configuration utility that will find the doors but it will cause them to be wiped if there is no info in the Database. First thing I have to do is create users in the Database and then take each fob and assign it to a user. When that is done I can use the config utility to find the doors. With the new software it will cause the Units to update their firmware but with the fobs already on the system I just need to name the doors and it should be good. Will take time and will need to be done after school hours. Paxton were so helpful.

I have installed the software and there is a button to detect doors but it is not returning anything. I could add doors but it wants the serial number of the unit. I could manually rebuild the database as it is a small school if I knew where to get the serial numbers. The fobs still work but the names have all gone so I would have to get all the fobs back in and allocate them to staff in the software.

There is an option when sharing a doc that "viewers" cannot download. You haven't set that by mistake have you?

I was just asked the same question but when you read the DfE site it reads like the devices go home with the kids.

The original company are no longer around. The school have switched support recently to a new company who come in when doors or the main gate have an issue but they have never touched the software. I will have to ask them if they have any knowledge of this method. Thanks

In our Primary School the PC running Net2 for the Door Access System has a dead HD. I cannot get any info off of it. I have no details of the setup so does anyone know how I can get it installed and working on a new SSD? I do have the original CD that the installers left behind. The original installers have gone out of business.

At the moment we have a paper based system for creating orders from which our Finance Dept create Purchase Orders. Person wanting goods fills in a form, that form goes to budget holder, budget holder signs and then, it goes to business manager for authorisation and finally finance. How do others do it? We want a better way than passing a paper copy around.

Does the Enterprise version give you any better reporting on who used a Chromebook and for how long? The current reporting in G Suite is terrible. It's a shame they don't do an enterprise licence for just Admins.

Has anyone purchased the Lenovo 100e Chromebooks through LGfL? IF so do you have any feedback on the process and reviews of the Chromebooks? We want to order but I wanted to get some feedback first.

I believe 50 is the minimum now or 15% of staff whichever is higher. That's what they are calling a Partial licence. A full licence would be all staff.
