Has anyone used the Edulink Video Parents Evening System yet? If so what is it like? It uses twilio too same as School Cloud.

I think I understand now. I was totally reading the console option wrong. The vouchers themselves a valid for 1827 days but each one is valid for 1 day from the time the session starts?

I've had 5 from ICT-Direct. No more stock at the moment.

Anyone recommend any webcams suitable, at a decent price, for video Parents' Evenings? Probably need around 45 units.

What did you do to resolved this issues please?

Interesting you should say that as we experienced connection/sound issues last night but we thought it was us as this was our first Parents' Evening with School Cloud.

We had our first one with schoolcloud. Some teachers at home and some in school. We did ours using Chromebooks in school. Some were fine but where teachers had joint meetings we found these didn't work so well. At least one of the teachers audio and video would freeze. Not sure if the issue is that we used Chromebooks as others on this thread seem to be buying webcams for use on wired computers.

Is this done on the cnMaestro console?

From my initial findings it seems the voucher is valid from the day it is generated so if we do a five day voucher on a Monday and it is not used until Thursday then it runs out on Friday. What about those visitors who are only here for a day? When would those vouchers be printed out? To me it would make more sense that the voucher is valid from when it is activated by the user and not when it is generated. Is my understanding correct?

Unfortunately no Office 365 here. We are Google Workspace users.

We are using external services (Room Booking System and Parents Evening System) where I want to use LDAPS to authenticate users. Can I still use an internal CA for these?

Since before I started here the internal domain name has been "domain.schoolname.borough.sch.uk". The external domain name was "schoolname.borough.sch.uk". We have now changed the external name to "schoolname.org.uk". Should I be looking at changing the internal domain name to match? The reason being I am looking at configuring LDAPS for the DCs and one of the pre-reqs is that the Active Directory fully qualified domain name of the domain controller (for example, DC01.DOMAIN.COM) must appear in one of the following places:The Common Name (CN) in the Subject field. DNS entry in the Subject Alternative Name extension. Looking at doing this with a Let's Encrypt SSL Certificate Is there a way to do this without changing the Internal domain name or am I looking at this in completely the wrong way?

Our Primary School are looking for refurb ipads. Anyone recommend a decent place that does refurbs for education? I looked on ICT Direct but their Apple section shows "under construction" @ICTDirect_Dave do you have any? What should be the minimum model I should be looking at? They want to be able to run apps for Google Classroom, Education City, Lexia and Rockstar Times Tables.

We use Salamander and they have an option to add extra users via CSV file. We can add additional users to groups and to Google classrooms.

You need a Chrome Education Upgrade licence. You can get these from Google Resellers. Once you have it then it is added automatically to your Google Domain. You then enroll the Chromebook and the licence will apply to it. https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/1289314?hl=en

Interesting, what is the GAM command to do this please and do you need to run the command for every student account or once for each Year Group?

We use Salamander to sync SIMS users to G Suite and I wondered if we should pull over the Student photos. Do any Schools do that already or is this something that we should avoid?
