We already use Biostore Cashless Catering System but with the sQuid payment system. We are considering a move to ParentPay as that is the system used by other schools in the MAT. Just wondered how well ParentPay plays with Biostore Fastrak?

We have been using 1809 successfully and now our machines are moving to 1909 and 2004 but we are finding that users can no longer use the File Explorer Search facility. Clicking in search does not even let them type anything. Has anyone seen this issue? Could it be a group policy that worked with 1809 that is now causing issues with 1909/2004?

Sorry to drag up this old thread but I have just been asked about Unity. Looking at their website I cannot see minimum specs that are required. We have a mixture of machines from 7 years old to brand new so wondered if it would run on our oldest machines? Does anyone know who much space it needs on the local drives? Some on our drives are 120GB SSDs which are already half full. Any pointers would be appreciated

I believe you can set the default to "No sharing" under Admin Console Apps > Google Workspace > Settings for Calendar > Sharing Settings You set the default to "no sharing" and the user then has to specifically change that on their own calendar if they want to share it.

Way back in 2018 the DfE announced that they didn't need Nationality and Country of Birth recorded and SIMS had a routine to remove these. At the time as it was a new option we didnt take it but now SLT want to remove this data. I remember there were a couple patches that Capita had to apply to enable the removal but I would guess subsequent updates added this functionality anyway? Did any on run the deletion routine? Any gotchas? Thanks

Those using Loom for pre-recording lessons do you know if you get Viewer Insights? I can see that the view count goes up but when I click to see who viewed I just get a loading icon. I wondered if the Education plan didn't have this feature? Even though on their website it says Education should provide viewer insights.

Looking at Mote I cant see if it is free for Education or not? I registered and my account says I am on a 15 day trial. Do students need to have Mote downloaded and be registered to listen to the voicenotes?

Do you have to hve Azure licencing for this? We are a Google School.

We don't use SAGE for parents to pay anything to us. It is mainly for us to pay invoices to companies we buy goods from. The remittance slip that would go out via email is to say we have paid. I have emailed SAGE to ask why they need to do it this way.

Our Finance Dept want to send electronic remittance slips via email through SAGE Cloud. We are a Google School and SAGE have said that the email account to be used to send the Remittance Slips must allow "Less Secure Apps". I am reluctant to do this so I wondered what other Schools who are Google and use SAGE do? The alternative is to use Outlook but our entire Finance Team are working from home this is not an option and we don't normally use Outlook as everyone uses Webmail.

We have had one report from a student today that he is not getting notifications but this is for a class he has just joined. We have asked him to ensure all notifications are on in Google Classroom. Waiting to hear back if it resolved the issue.

We are looking to use the new video parents evening systems that utilise Twilio. Does anyone who has used these services know the GDPR implications of video meetings with parents? Twilio mention that they are GDPR compliant. I don't believe the video meetings are recorded so is live video regarded as personal data?

I have just checked our list of SuperAdmins and there are no new ones in there so it didnt add a SuperAdmin through that process.
