We recently introduced Wonde Emoji logins for younger pupils to use in School with Wonde Google SSO. Wonde syncs with SIMS and matches or creates pupil users in G Suite. This worked fine as it was restricted to one room and didn't affect staff users. Last week School decided that they wanted pupils to be able to use Emoji logins from home. I managed to get some info from Wonde to enable this but they also said that staff would then also have to use Wonde to authenticate to G Suite. This is fine and staff have been shown how but it has affected all our delegated Google accounts (office@ etc). Now we cant log in to those as Wonde doesnt recognise them. They don't exist in SIMS as users so Wonde is not picking them up. I have emailed Wonde but am not getting quick replies. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Our SLT are using Google Meet for their meetings and complaining that when they try to "present" that the Chromebooks cannot cope. SLT have Viglen Chromebook 360's and the meetings usually involve about 6-8 people. Has anyone else come across issues like this with Google Meet?

Which Unifi AP's are recommended for a small Primary? Ruckus system currently as 22 APs and covers the whole school. Will the Nanos do or should I look at the Pro? Very little price difference by the looks of it.
-
Just realised I was being thick!! I don't need PoE injectors as the APs will connect into PoE switches!
-
So to get the PoE we need to buy single packs? In some places the existing APs are ceiling mounted but most are on the wall.
-
I've been told that the 3 and 5 packs don't come with PoE adaptors or mounting brackets. Can you confirm?

Can anyone recommend Unifi or Cambium WiFi resellers? Anyone bought any recently what kind of price are we talking? Need to replace an old Ruckus system in a our Primary School and the budget is not there to replace it with the latest Ruckus kit.

We have just had a delivery of Dongles. I received a login for a Dashboard where I can see that each dongle has a limit of 3 GB of data per month. That will get eaten up very quickly!

Allowing Guardian Summaries as Administrator - Google Classroom

We have never found a way. We have always had to email teachers and tell them to enable summaries in their classroom. -

Is anyone trying to watch the webinar? The sound for me is terrible. -

Speak to C-Learning. We bought some HP EE Chromebooks from them, no complaints and a decent price. Came with 3 year warranty, wont get that at Argos.

We have used FS.com for a couple of years. Only ever had 1 SFP+ Gbic fail and it was an easy return and replacement.

You might also want to look at remotedesktop.google.com . So simple to use and very responsive. Only issue is you can't chat to the user but you can control their machine. It works the same as windows remote assist. Have used it to connect to windows machines, Chromebooks and macs. You could use it in conjunction with Google Meet to speak to the user and control the machine.

Coronavirus: General discussion (see opening post for rules)

Lots of people on Faceache starting to make them at home and sell them on for £3-£5 per mask. Seems they have lots of customers! -
@mdrabble Did you set up from scratch or onto an existing RDS server?
-
Currently have RDS set up on Server 2016 and successfully using it during lockdown for RemoteApps. Would like to look at the HTML5 version so that it can be used on Chromebooks too. I know I can get Android Apps working on Chromebooks and do it that way but feel HTML5 would be the better way to go. Is anyone using it? Any pitfalls? If I have a running RDS Server can I install HTML5 without taking it down and does the HTML5 then take over from the RDP method currently in use?
