Does your school add temps, Exam Invigilators and student teachers into SIMS? We have been told that this is so that emergency contact details are available. Is there anything wrong with adding them in?

We have some Macs on which we want to install the DNA Agent. The DNA Server is a Windows machine. We download the dmg file from the NetSupport website and try to install on a Mac but during the install process we get an error "Developer cannot be verified" and the install fails. I am not too familiar with MacOS so can anyone provide any help? I have looked at the NetSupport DNA article on this but it mentions Apple Remote Desktop which I we don't have. Can someone please step me through the install process ? Thanks

Thanks. Got it installed and I can now use the application or the web view. I now need to create users for the members of staff to view and download clips when incidents occur. When creating users what permissions do you give them so it keeps it simple to playback, record and download footage?

So the DVR has 2 NICs. I have connected one to my network on a separate VLAN. The DVR network port has picked up an IP on the VLAN. I have found the SmartPSS disc. It is giving me the option to install SmartPSS and/or Storage Service. Do I need both or just SmartPSS?

In our new building we have had a Dahua IP CCTV system installed. I had nothing to do with it and now I have been asked if Senior Staff can access it from their workstations. The CCTV has 2 DVRs and all the IP cameras come back to 2 switches that connect to the DVRs. From what I can tell the IP cameras have static IPs as do the DVRs. Does anyone know how I can make a connection from the School network to the CCTV network so that staff can view footage?

We don't mind this. When several users are replying to emails in the shared mailbox then it comes in handy knowing who actually responded if there were any queries.

Some students have downloaded torrent movies into their Google Drives and are watching these in school. So far I have used Vault to search for .mp4 and .mkv files and it returns the name of the file and the owner. Sometimes it shows the owner as a student username so we can identify the account. In some instances the owner is a random gmail, hotmail, yahoo account. Is there any way to identify which school Google drive account the file resides in? i can't block video files as the students do have legitimate needs to watch video files. I want to be able to identify the accounts where these torrent files are so that we can give them a chance to remove them before any sanctions are imposed. Any ideas please?

We are looking into if we should enable the capability in our phone system to record calls. We can set a warning telling incoming callers that all calls are recorded via the Auto Attendant. What do we do for outgoing calls? Do Staff have to say 'this call will be recorded' for every call they make to external numbers? What do other schools/organisations do?
