Our Home Folders for users seem to be in a state. There are some with permissions for Users to read. It should just be owner, System and domain admins. I need to change all the home folder permissions back to what they should be. Is there any way to do this in bulk?

Phoned and HPE asked us to send logs. Once they checked the logs they said it needs a replacement module. Delivery set for tomorrow. Just love the HP lifetime warranty!!!

I am going around in circles trying to find an HP customer business support number to ring to raise a ticket for an issue we are having with one of our 5406zl Switches. The PoE light is flashing red and our Ruckus APs have lost power. Does anyone know the number I need to ring please for a warranty call?

I think you may have misunderstood. We have no problems adding staff into classrooms. When Cover Supervisors cover a class, inevitably the work is on Google Classroom, the Cover Supervisor wont have access to that particular Google Classroom. The question I am being asked is can I add Cover Supervisors to every Google Classroom in the School for year 7-11. That would be around 130 classes. Adding them is not the problem, to me it just seems there must be a better solution out there.

Can anyone who uses Google Classroom tell me how you deal with Cover Supervisors who may need access to every classroom? We use Salamander to generate our Google Classrooms from SIMS and we do have a way to add Extra staff to Classrooms but adding Cover Supervisors to every classroom would be one heck of a long list of classes that would pop up when they log in. Would be interested to know how others deal with this. Thanks

Since the start of term we have found that a number of computers in our ICT Suites will not power on if switched off. The plug has to be unplugged and then plugged in again and then the power returns. We use Stone Computers which are not that old and it has never happened before. Has anyone seen this kind of thing before?

Thing is if the user locks the pc then uses win+p it works and gives the options for extend, duplicate etc. There is always a projector attached and it works when locked just not when logged in.

Updated the drivers to latest on Intel site. Still no joy. Strangely it works when the PC is locked by the user but not when logged in.

All other Win logo Key combinations work ie Win+L locks the screen and Win+E opens File Explorer. I have not blocked Hot Keys in Group Policy. Any ideas why it would not work please?

We are moving to VoIP so the only "lines" we need is the circuit that the VoIP goes down and the RedCare Alarm number. All internal extensions will be VoIP. Is it best to just box it up and leave it where it is as @Boredguy suggests?

In our main school office we have a couple of BT boxes that contain all the wiring for the internal phones. The School is in the process of a major refurb and the Office will move to another part of the building. The current office will become a changing room. Don't really think the BT Boxes should be in the changing rooms so I wondered who would be the correct organisation to contact to get a quote on moving them? We have a store room just behind the wall where the boxes are mounted so they could easily be shifted into that. Is it OpenReach?

I have been asked to find a couple of headsets for staff to use with our 3CX phone system. Does anyone use or can recommend ones that are comfortable to wear please?

Can you not use Delprof2 in a script to do this if you had to?

Did you need any Smart Drivers?

Resurrecting this old thread as we have Smart Interactive Projectors and have previously used 11.4. Haven't deployed 11.4 or any Smart Drivers and Windows 10 recognises the projector as an interactive device but wont let me select anything or open the start menu. I can move icons around on the desktop but double tapping them doesn't open the application. Is there a setting I am missing?

I didn't even know 3CX offered hosting themselves.

Sorry not an answer for you but how did you get PDQ working with MDT? I am at that point now.

I thought "free for personal use" meant that you could use the font but not to make money ie non-commercial. Is there any site out there that has 100% free fonts? DaFont seems to be the go to site for Teachers and Students but nearly all of the fonts they want are marked "free for personal use".
