I am guessing due to the numbers of users and computers your quoted that you are connected to a much bigger institute than our school? Hence you get better pricing as you will be on a different type of agreement.

Can I ask where you got that quote from? My reseller has just come back with £284 per core (minimum 2 cores required for VM) per year.

We have around 1300 users and 600 computers/laptops that DNA presides over. Our DNA Database is always complaining that it is nearly full. Even deleting everything prior to this academic year it still sits at 82% full. Netsupport have said I should consider installing full SQL rather than using SQL Express. Before I go to the expense of getting full SQL I wanted to know if other schools ran with full SQL or is SQL Express doing the job fine?

So for my test user I have stopped using roaming profiles and opted for a local. I can now get the Start Menu to redirect correctly. I have nothing in the Tiles section except Microsoft Edge. Is there any way to remove Edge from the Start Tiles please?

Ok thanks, so domain alias created in G Suite. How do I create a user in the domain alias please? I am looking at GCDS but I cannot figure out where I would add this user under the domain alias.

Trying to sign up. Created a new consumer gmail account went to the ccloud identity website and tried to register Accepted my username but when it got to domain I typed in the school domain name but I got "This domain name is being used by another Google service. If you own this domain and would like to use it for Cloud Identity, please follow the steps here" Not sure how to progress. Don't want to break anything else.

Anyone else have any recommendations please?

We use Youtube with G Suite and have an OU in G Suite that contains our users who can approve videos. Since Friday these users no longer get the blue bar to enable them to approve videos. Over on Google+ someone said this is due to the new polymer layout and if we added "&disable_polymer=true" to the video URL then we would get the blue bar back. This does work but I wondered if anyone else was having the same issue? Can those with G Suite and approvers set up just test and let me know please? Thanks

How do you guys deploy Adobe CC out to PCs? I am trying to use Group Policy as that is the only option I have to push applications out centrally. I create the package on the Adobe Admin Console and then download it. I put it in my software deployment share where everything else I push out with Group policy lives. Problem is the only thing that gets install is the Creative Cloud App. None of the other apps get installed. I know they are in the package I created in the Adobe Admin Console as the download is over 6GB. Where am I going wrong?

Wouldn't take much for a student to switch the mic back on. It's only a toggle switch on the Google Home Mini.

is @jamesleonard still active on Edugeek? Forcing schools to move their youtube channel control over to a consumer account is just plain daft. We spent years trying to force everyone to use official accounts for everything and now this!!

Got this email just now too. So are they saying our branded YouTube channel has to be in the name of a consumer account? That makes no sense at all.

Tried that, didn't help. I have run GP Results and I get a strange error in there stating Folder Redirection failed. There is no "More Information link" even though it refers to one.

The helpdesk is hosted not internal.
