    We do , we have the desktop ups’s on the shelf in cabs around the school , although a few cabs have some nvr’s attached to the ups as well

    I use Sophos utm (the free edition ) I think it’s free upto 50 IP addresses , have it running on my home hyper v host

    I know a lot of schools are going to Securly and Senso, We are using on prem Smoothwall at the moment and we are sticking with that for now. Edit: Grammer

    Sorry mean't IP Address. Has it been changed since the update? As the old one could be defined somewhere Are you on about Sophos UTM/XG or Sophos Anti Virus ?

    Staff have access to Sharepoint/Onedrive, but at the moment we are using the traditional on prem file servers for home drives and areas. I plan to move to onedrive next time we are due a server refresh or to the point we run out of onsite storage

    I agree, Got some refurb laptops from these recently and I have no complaints

    The Windows one works great and it simple to setup and secure via radius and you can run it on a fairly small VM ours has 3gb of ram, but it’s all down to how you want to set it up. Can’t comment on smoothwalls as I’ve never used that feature of the system

    we upgraded to rdweb on 2016 and always on vpn, rdweb is useful for staff who don't have laptops, but all staff laptops are on the vpn

    is the solus server working fine ? Have you checked the event log on the vm you are trying to deploy it to and the server side logs
