Not sure how helpful this will be but, we don't use any Device Management Tool specifically or very often when it comes to our Macs, we have ARD but rarely use that as it is! We also have Active Directory binding, Office and Sophos, as well as mounting network drives upon logon. Both for students and staff, the login process is fairly quick. Everything on the macs performs fairly quick and reliably for us. The only thing I could think of is that I went through 2 weeks of replacing every HDD with an SSD in the Macs, which improved operating speeds significantly! The users simply login to the Macs using their AD credentials, it recognises them and loads their things as normal, including a small 'World' icon in the bottom right, which if clicked, opens their File Area 'My Documents' (As it would be on windows). Let me know if this helps in any way, or if you would like to chat any further about how we have ours set up or if yours improved!

In addition, when you try and click on these older apps which it still has showing, the attached is the message it shows.

Hi, Just rebuilt the Server and the Roles it was doing previously. Now I have come across a different issue. Its displaying the old apps the I had published before. Is there any way I can delete these? They dont show up in the Published apps area in RDS Settings on Windows Server Manager. Does anyone know how to get rid of these? Attached is an image. None of them work, but they still show up and I cant find a way to get rid of them... Any help would be appreciated.

So, I accidentally deleted the WWWROOT folder from the inetpub folder on C drive on my RDS server. Does anyone know of a simple way of getting this back, as the webpages from the server are now unavailable as they dont exist! I cant find it in Recycle bin or in any recovery scanner such as RECUVA. Is there any way to fix this? Any help would be hugely appreciated!

RDS - How to Set Up the Firewall and its settings
kostascoffee replied to kostascoffee's topic in Windows Server 2019
Any recommended ports to use? Not entirely sure how they behave etc. Login attempts link seems great. I have most of the things run off of 1 server at the moment, we have got a licensing server, so I will link that in.- 7 replies

RDS - How to Set Up the Firewall and its settings
kostascoffee posted a topic in Windows Server 2019
Hi, I wonder if someone could help. I haven't been able to find any information on setting up the firewall for RDS (How to set up and anything else needed for it). We are a school, and we would like staff to login from home and access the apps that we have made available for them. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!- 7 replies

Sounds logical and like the right thing that would be the limiting factor! Thank you!
