Hi Is the GPO being applied to the computers (whichever OU they are in)? Sukh -
Hi When you say it runs the old version of a script, does the script actually execute? Do the printers which you see get deployed? What do you mean by different computer names show up? Check you bat BAT file if it has any refrences to the old KIX32 file? Check the Netlogon share for the old KIX32 file? Check Logon computer startup scripts (if used)? Can you reproduce the old login script issue? If so, we may be able to use some sysinternall tools to monitor/log. Try to logon/logoff multiple times to try and reproduce the issue. Sukh

Hi Domain functionality. Can you reproduce the issue? Do you get any errors in the Windows Event Logs when login script fails? Is the login script a bat/vbs file? What is the script compiled with? Dos? VB? Sukh

Hi For your Domain Controllers, I'd recommend at least 2 for HT/FT. I know you mentioned that you're not going to virtualise so you should be OK. If you do then, you need HA/FT for the host. Some don't mind and will promote another member server in the AD, however, this is acceptable if you can tolerate the downtime which I don't think any school can. If you do decide to go for a high end server then you may be able to use as a guest if and when you virtualise. If you want to true metrics on DC usage then you should gather some performance stats and then spec your new server. I also, assume you only have one site and one AD domain? Need to consider this too for your doman controller placement/deployment. Sukh

Hi Can you try to RDP to the Windows 7 machine from another PC on the same subnet? Sukh

Hi @Arthur - If you deploy FPE then this will be picked up. However, you should really scan your emails for AS before emails enter your Org, maybe at the gateway or better still in the cloud. This may be a little costly but you may get an educational discount, for example, if you use MSFT EHS. I very much doubt Symantec will offer the cloud hygene at discounted rate but I'd call them and ask. Sukh

Hi Firmware updates can be important but to renew your contract on this basis should not be the driver. Consider your warranty and should the firmware update you should be able to go to the manufacturer. Sukh

Hi So was you unable to do this with Exmerge? Sukh

Hi Not after every change. If you configure as above and then restart the Exchange Transport Service and test, if it fails, we can look into further. Sukh

When selecting the network that connects to Internet, ensure we de-select “Enable security on the selected interface by setting up static packets filtering”. Confirm you are using Windows 2008? Sukh

Hi Please try the following for troubleshooting: 1. On the server, open Routing and Remote Access from Administrative Tools. 2. Right click the server name and select “Disable Routing and Remote Access”. 3. After we disable it, right click and select “Configure and Enable Routing and Remote Access”. 4. Follow the wizard and select VPN. 5. When selecting the network that connects to Internet, ensure we de-select “Enable security on the selected interface by setting up static packets filtering”. 6. Finish the reset of the wizard and check whether we are able to connect or not. Sukh
