Left it with me for a couple of weeks to try out - it worked a treat; then came back and ran through getting one made to measure for me. This was even down to a choice of cover. He left the trial unit with me until mine was delivered and when it was set it up again for me. It came in; if I remember correctly under £300 and was well worth every penny. Several other members of staff have also used the service now. Our local rep for the area (Wiltshire) is a chap called Graham Parker.

We recently migrated from Server 2008 to Server 2012. Everything seems to have gone fine apart from WSUS which is not displaying client machines. The WSUS was then removed completely and reinstalled to start afresh. Still no clients in the Console. We have tried both Use The Update Services Console and Use Group Policy or Registry settings on computers. As we are behind the SWGfL SSL Filter in the Domain Group Policy the port is set as :8531 but I notice that on a Client in the registry for Updates the Target has Port :8530 and the WUServer and WUStatusServer both have picked up port : 8531 Trying both http://servername/iuident.cab and http://servername/selfupdate/AU/x64/W7/EN/wuaucomp.cab both without a port and with ports 8530 and 8531 all brings up a HTTP 404 error. You need to go onto the Impero Server and when you pull up the logged on clients right click the one / s that are problems and re-syncronise the various things - Groups / Policies etc. That sorts it okay.

I'd recommend paying for one of those RAF / AA car checks unless you have a good knowledge yourself or have a mate who is a mechanic. Best car I ever had was a BMW 535i Estate. It was petrol and a bit heavy on the juice. I didn't pay for a check though and since found the dealer I bought it from didn't have a solid rep - he is currently doing bird for fraud! I sold it on a tad prematurely as I found when it rained the rear right footwell carpet tended to get a soaking! Turns out that's a known issue with the sliding roof and is pretty easily resolved by finding the end of the drain pipe that's meant to take that water and unblocking it. It was the third Beamer I've had. The first two were brand new 3 series when I was in the Forces in Germany. Love them but can't afford one nowadays.

Called in a few months ago because a student misbehaved and broke a number of computers. When I got there it was actually a number of broken monitors. Another fine example more recently, I'd removed drums and cartridges from a printer in a staff member's office which they weren't in at the time to test them in another printer that had a faulty drum unit. Whilst I was testing IO had a call from the said member of staff querying why the printer (with the wide open toner / drum drawer) wouldn't print:D I'm constantly amazed by the lack of IT awareness and understanding by most staff on basic IT issues and indeed regularly used programmes such as MS Word and Excel. as to any chance of them delving into the fruit basket of value added components things like O365 brings to their tools basket then I realise that, that's just not going to happen. To find a member of teaching staff who has even 30% knowledge of these things is a very, rare gem; in my very humble opinion. I'm astonished that they haven't pick up a better skillset through their use of the kit.

I had similar issues and logged a case with O365 support through the Admin Portal and they responded very quickly running a remote session with me steering me through the Powershell steps to sort it. Ten out of ten for their support.

Now why didn't I think of that! Thanks @computer_expert that seems to have done the job a treat. Logged back in as that user and all seems to be tickety boo.
