  1. Hi @Sheridan, yes it was an Android FW update, to do with the way the chipset handled HDCP.
  2. Hi @Sheridan - I can't say for certain it's 100% the same; but on the BenQ it was a software fix. Perhaps Philips can provide the same support?
  3. @glen_j I'm glad that I was able to help and that it is now working.
  4. Hi, I can only talk from a BenQ stand point. But our latest 04 series does support Intune. The Android in the RE04 will later this year be upgraded to Android 14 and on the RP04 to Android 15 at no additional cost. We also have our own MDM software (DMS) which is completely free which supports firmware updates, app updates and the ability to set auto app updates. DMS can operate in the 04 screens and screens dating back 4+ years. If you'd like to know anymore or if you have any questions, drop me a DM.
  5. Hi @glen_j - I've been told there is no FW fix possible. Can I ask which USB port you are using on the RE7503? I've been told that the USB 2.0 port (either the hidden USB port or the lower USB port on the side). I have been told that this issue should not occur if using LAN.
  6. Whether you've just installed a new screen over the Christmas break or you’re thinking about upgrading your current set up, it may be time to talk to BenQ. We offer demos (remote and in person) and will be at Bett 2025 (NE10), drop by for a complimentary coffee from our excellent barista, or join us for cocktail hour between 16:00-17:00 Wednesday & Thursday of Bett. Below are some of the key features we have, but not all of them! Our interactive displays can be used as large monitors, interactive displays or wireless casting screens, there really is no "correct" way to use them. We also offer a host of complimentary benefits that you may find useful: · Google Play Store (EDLA) integration (RE04 and RP04), using DMS you can control access to this and which apps are visible on the screens - LINK · DMS - Device Management System (this has recently had a big upgrade at no cost) - LINK · AMS - Account Management Service - LINK · Broadcast - Messaging service - LINK · Instashare 2 - network based casting supporting Android, iOS, Chromebook, PC, mac & integrated AI features - LINK Now all these cloud services do require internet connectivity, all the panels come with built in LAN ports or alternatively there is a wireless dongle (WD02AT) that is available as an optional accessory; however it is included as standard with the RP04 screens. On our latest screens there is also EZWrite 6, a huge step forward from us with the built in whiteboard software. It is also available at no extra cost for PC & Mac - LINK I fully appreciate that that is probably a lot to take in, which is why we have launched the BenQ Academy - LINK Users can log in to their account (once set up) and they can track their progress through the various videos hosted here. We are CPD certified and are well on our way to getting the BenQ Academy certified as well. Warranty (de/re-install) - register the product to get an FOC upgrade from 3 to 5 years (RE, RM, RP 65" and larger) - LINK In the unlikely event of your product being faulty, please contact our customer care team - LINK We also can support training and configuration. Should you have any questions or would like to arrange so training sessions for you or your staff please drop me a message. I'll do what I can to help.
  7. Hi @Andycat - we'll be at Bett too, feel free to call in at stand NE10, we’ll have our usual complimentary coffee from our excellent barista as well as cocktail hour between 16:00-17:00 Wednesday & Thursday of Bett. You'll be able to see what we have on offer.
  8. Hi @desseardo I'll reply to your DM.
  9. Hi @HyperTech the RE03A series is still a very good screen, supporting AMS (non NFC sign on), DMS and Broadcast. It comes complete with InstaShare 2 and EZWrite 6 built in and it also features the BenQ App Store with selected apps from key partners. It does not have access to the Google Play Store (though you can sideload apps using DMS) and does not have the germ resistant technology and environmental sensors (these have only ever been present in the RP series). However the RE range is less expensive (as you'd expect) than the RP series. The RE range is the "Essentials" range and the RP is the "Pro" range. If you have any other questions, please drop me a DM.
  10. Hi @gszech, I'm afraid the it is not possible with the Google EDLA system. It has to run on a Google certified CPU or it would invalidate the license. We do have a slot in Android option (TEY1A) that has a Google EDLA system, though you don't get the wrap around protection of the AMS system. If you'd like to know more, just drop me a DM.
  11. Hi @DDR5, I can only speak for BenQ boards, but the latest range (RP04) has a host of features - latest generation germ resistant tech, tougher glass (9H), USB-C upgrades, 2 x 20w speakers and 16w subwoofer, environmental sensors - temperature, humidity, CO2, PM2.5, PM10, TVOC - all of which feedback in to DMS (FOC cloud based device management system). It also supports SSO (Google / Azure AD) accounts and allows for NFC card sign in via AMS. The latest RP04 series also features Google EDLA, with complete access to Play Store; by using AMS you can protect the screens and prevent unauthorised access to the screen, apps and even certain apps. You also get the very latest EZWrite 6 Whiteboard software built in (also available on Windows, Mac & iPad) capable of opening .iwb & .notebook files. As well as a powerful casting solution in InstaShare 2. It also comes with 5 year de/re-install warranty as standard (upon registration). If you'd like to know more of have any further questions please let me know.

  14. Hi @Lxshm, I can see that one supplier had it listed at that price, I can also see someone with it listed at £45 ex VAT & shipping. I have also got some clarification regarding compatibility of the TRY01 for you. The TRY01 remote control (5A.FAX06.002) is fully compatible (including voice, spotlight & laser) and includes the dongle for: RM02K, RM03, RM03A, RP01K, RP02, RP03, RP04 The remote works on the below, but is limited and does NOT support voice, spotlight & laser: RE03A, RM02S I have asked for clarification on a few other models not listed above. If you have any other questions please let me know.
  15. Hi @Lxshm can I ask who advised you that the TRY01 was £100? The ex. VAT SRP price on the TRY01 is £46. It is possible to get bids on remotes to bring the price down as well. The issue we have at the moment is stock availability, we are waiting for stock at present. Another thing to mention is the functionality of the TRY01 as I understand it is different to the remote that was shipped with the RP7502 and there are some features that are not on the replacement remote (voice, spotlight, laser). However I have seen some second hand ones on eBay for circa £20 plus shipping. If you have any other questions, please let me know.
  16. Hi @martinpage23 if you drop me DM details of the models you have I may be able to suggest some fixes. You may need to switch the EDID mode on the panel from EDID 2.0 (max 4K60) to EDID 1.4 (max 4K30). There is an issue with some laptops/PCs where the GPU can do 4K60, the panels can do 4K60, but the HDMI port can only do 4K30 and causes signal drop out. The other issue can be cable length run, higher resolutions will impact the maximum cable length run (unless repeaters/extenders are used). Hope to hear from you soon.
  17. Hi @CHiLL I'll drop you a DM with the answer to your question. In short it is possible. If anyone else would like to know please drop me a DM.
  18. Hi @CHiLL I don't know the answer to that question. But I have asked the team that would, once I have an answer I'll you know.
  19. @CHiLL depending on model and configuration the BenQ does support (without apps) Airplay, Miracast and Chromecast. I can't speak for the New Line casting product.
  20. First things first, you'll want to register the warranty to ensure you get the full 5 years (RE, RP 65" and larger) - Warranty Extension IFP | BenQ UK In the unlikely event of your product being faulty, please contact our customer care team - BenQ Customer Support Our interactive displays can be used as large monitors, interactive displays or wireless casting screens, there really is no "correct" way to use them. 21. Hi @CHiLL if you want to drop me a line I can run through how the BenQ casting solutions work. InstaShare 2 supports Mac, Windows, Android, IOS (via app) and native Chromecast, Airplay & Miracast. Drop me a DM and I can help you out.
  22. Hi @ITDawg, you could install and run BenQ X-Sign on the surface devices (non-touch). If you'd like to know more and what else you can do, drop me a DM.
  23. Hi @Olliedawg if you drop me a DM with your email I'll send you a short video I did. We can't guarantee a football, cricket ball or chair would not break it (nothing is indestructible) however, but hopefully the video showcases the toughness.
  24. Hi @Olliedawg I would also suggest an interactive screen (even if you don't use the interactivity) due to the toughened glass and typically more robust chassis. At BenQ our screens are rated 9H on the Mohs mineral hardness scale (our older screens were rated 7H). A lot of screens in the market are still 7H. For reference, 9H is twice as hard as 8H and 8H is twice as hard as 7H. They also feature built in casting (supporting Windows, Mac, iOS, iPadOS, Android). If you'd like to know more just drop me a DM.
  25. Hi @denzal2k4 hopefully the BenQ boards fit right in. Should you have any questions or would like any training just drop me a DM.
