Hi @legolegolego - not sure if this will help, but BenQ screens have EZWrite 6 built in and they open natively .notebook files and .iwb, you can export Active Inspire files as .iwb files. But even if you don't have BenQ Interactive Panels (sad times 🥲) EZWrite 6 is available FOC from Microsoft Store or the BenQ website. Hi @Cardinal98 - just to add my two cents. What display technology are you currently using? Integrated casting in screens is fairly common place nowadays, all of the BenQ screens are integrated with InstaShare 2 (Miracast - P2P, Airplay, Google Cast). Additionally, even if a consumer grade TV and casting dongle is cheaper, it will likely not be warrantied for use in a school and the glass will not be reenforced, in the BenQ Interactive Panels for example, they are 3.2mm thick tempered glass rated 9H on the Mohs mineral hardness scale. All of our screens have a powerful DMS system, SSO Account Management (AMS) if you want to take full advantage of the system. All with included wall bracket and upon registration a 5 year de/re-install warranty. We have three main ranges RE04A/RE05A, RE04/RE05E and RP04/RP05. They all include an Android OS and subscription free account management, device management and messaging. They are all available in 65" as well as other sizes. They all have a built in speakers, whiteboard (EZWrite 6 - also available FOC for PC, macOS, iPadOS and certain Android devices) and casting (InstaShare 2). Hi @ITGuyNW, We at BenQ offer a range of interactive screens with toughened tempered glass (3.2mm, 9H), they range from entry level (RE04A), mid-range (RE04) and premium (RP04). They all include an Android OS and subscription free account management, device management and messaging. They are all available in 65", 75" and 86" and the RE04 series has a 98". So if you want 98", that would be the RE04FV2. From what you're saying about not needing the smart features, they all have a "corp mode" which hides the built in OS from the user, but you can still use the device management platform for automated tasks and updating firmware. I would also echo several other users, if in a sports hall, you would still likely want a cage or protective case that you can open and close (for when you want to use the screen). We also have a substantial projector range that would fit almost any hall to compliment this, we have a range of wireless presentation systems so you don't need to run cables from the source to the projector, just power. Hi @frankland on the BenQ RE04 only the front USB-C port supports, video, audio, data and power. The USB-C port on the side is for passthrough only (e.g. USB keyboard). The RP04 and RP05 series features a USB-C on the front and the side that supports video, audio, data and power. Two things regarding USB-C that is often missed is the cable length and cable type, we provide a 1.5m cable, most cables don't go longer than 3m. There are brands that do 5m+ but these can run very expensive (£100+). Regarding type of cable, it isn't so much as the BenQ boards are selective with type of cable, and more you have to use the correct spec of cable (USB 3.2 gen 1 or above). It's really easy to have a long USB cable, I have a 10m one, it will only do power (and not fast charging); but is perfect for hotel stays that don't have plugs by the bed. We also have subscription free (for life) Device Management System (DMS), Account Management System (AMS), integration with Google and Microsoft SSO, messaging platform (Broadcast). The screens (upon registration) also include a 5 year de/re-install warranty. The screen also includes casting (InstaShare 2) and EZWrite 6 whiteboard app (also available FOC for Windows, macOS, iPadOS and Android. Hi @Sonic007 hopefully I can offer some advice that you may find useful. Firstly, not all EDLA are created equally, some boards will have EDLA but with no secure wrap round account management (essentially a vanilla store bough tablet), some have this, but is provided (via subscription) by a 3rd party supplier and some (like BenQ) have their own subscription free offering, that not only offering true SSO account management (AMS), but also device management (DMS) and messaging - supporting Martyn's Law (Broadcast). We currently have 3 ranges, RE04A (value driven interactive display with Google EDLA), RE04 (essential range, higher spec CPU, storage) and RP04 (Pro range, industry leading CPU specifications, germ resistant glass, environmental sensors and NFC card sign in). There's a lot more to all 3 than I can fit in a single sentence. With the latest firmware all our boards have at least Android 14 and with BenQ's own DMS system you can control and manage Play Store access; even down to the specific application. Hi @mat1986 have you checked the network, firewall or WAPs to see if Multicast UDP / 5353 is allowed (this may be specific to BenQ - so you may need to check with your hardware provider), make sure that no filtering/blocking on broadcast (mDNS) on your network is on; for example, you have to disable "broadcasting filtering" on Aruba Central for Aruba AP. Hi @Jobos, I don't know the model in any great detail. But from what I gather it does have an Android OS built in; if the touch works in that it would suggest to a faulty touch port (or the touch has been disabled), if it doesn't work in the Android OS it would suggest the panel itself is faulty and the interactive sensors are faulty (or the touch has been disabled). Another thing to check is that the touch USB is connected to the corresponding port; it looks like there is a touch USB for each input. If it were in the incorrect port, the laptop would pick up the USB but the video signal would essentially be on the wrong channel. @Gongalong it's interesting you were told about "constantly changing UI" on the BenQ. We did have a substantial one (as did the whole industry) in the transition to Google EDLA (which we standardise on and always have annotation tools built in at not extra cost - even the entry level RE04A). I've been at BenQ since 2016 and we've only really had 3 major UI iterations in that time and that has been moving in the direction of standardisation across the models. @mdrabble exactly what I was going to suggest. Not every panel has the option to change EDID though. @machy I don't know the iiyama boards, but typically, it would either be: settings, display, advanced settings display, screen settings, video or in a hidden debug menu You need to make sure you are on the relevant HDMI input on the screen. If the screens do not have an EDID switch (most modern screens should do). Then you can purchase an EDID switch and put it in between the PC and screen and it will have switch on this to go between EDID 2.0 and 1.4. There's more to it, but essentially EDID 2.0 can do 4K/60, EDID 1.4 can do 4K/30. Most modern laptops have a GPU that can cope with 4K/60, but not all HDMI ports can, they may still be HDMI 1.4 ports; so it causes drop out. Or it could be a cable length issue, 4K/60 is higher bandwidth and can impact maximum cable length run (quality of cable has an impact too). Thanks, Chris Senior Technical Sales Manager BenQ UK

One of the issues of using USB hubs is that it is possible to reach a USB tier limitation, depending on the chipset and mainboard used it may have already daisy chained several tiers internally. Hi @Hoyt the age old issue of tech moving forward but losing some of the simplicity. USB-C is great, a single unified port, except it isn't, it's a standard interface but different ports have different capabilities, different cables have different specs and source devices don't always allow video out on all USB-C ports. The cable itself can be a minefield, we ship a 1.5m cable as standard. The longest standard cable I've seen is 3m. After that you are looking at some high end £100+ specialist cables. For us, we state you need a USB 3.2 gen 1 or better to get video, audio, data, power and touch. As for HDMI, there's a little known industry issue now that all boards have gone to 4K/60; the GPUs (for the most part) can handle 4K/60 but often the HDMI ports are only HDMI 1.4 and can only handle 4K/30. This can lead to signal drop out. Many of the good boards on the market allow to change the EDID on the panel from 2.0 to 1.4 which caps the resolution the screen asks for to 4K/30. This can help resolve a lot of the issues. The other issue you have is cable length; for the most part HDMI will run 5m no problem, higher quality cable can go to 10m. But often you will need HDMI/LAN extenders. EDID 1.4 will typically give you a distance boost. If you have any questions, happy to try and help. Thanks, Chris Senior Technical Sales Manager BenQ UK

The basic spec on the datasheet suggests it is a good basic interactive flat panel (similar in spec to our RE04A); it really depends on what you want to use them for. Our entry level (RE04A) panel includes subscription free device management (DMS) and is EDLA too. Further up the range (RE04 / RP04), you get better spec (Oct core CPU), subscription free account management and in the top of the line (RP04) you also get subwoofer, germ resistant glass, environmental sensors and NFC card sign on.
