Once you have the basics in place you can start building on it by reading various blogs etc. We followed the book to the letter and it just worked. Gareth

Over on the OspreysRugby forum someone points out the reviews for this product - split my sides laughing. Veet for Men Hair Removal Gel Creme 200 ml: Amazon.co.uk: Health & Beauty Gareth

I really would purchase this book: Deployment Fundamentals, Vol. 1: Migrating to Windows 7 using MDT 2010 Lite Touch and WDS eBook: Johan Arwidmark, Mikael Nystrom: Amazon.co.uk: Kindle Store It's for MDT2010 but the theory is the same. It's the book I used to comfogure our original system and I haven't looked back since. Gareth

Hi, Can someone help me with a warranty issue we have? We ordered a Lacie 4Tb rack mount drive the other month and it isn't working. We logged the call with Lacie and with the company and after many attempts at fixing it we believe it is not suitable for the job. So we asked for our money back. This is what we had in reply: So we logged the case in time for a refund but due to the slowness of it being dealt with and regardless of us doing what they have said the above. We are not happy with the device and wanted a refund. Any advice? Or am I totally wrong (which I often am) in asking for a refund for a faulty device? Cheers Gareth

Wowsers - 10 miles is an amazing distance. I completed my first 10 miler the other week (Running Activity 9.93 mi | RunKeeper) and I felt good after it with little aches. What has happened is that I have lost my running mojo since doing it - which could account for the performance yesterday. Good luck with it - let me know your time. Gareth

That's great @nephilm - keep going. People often don't think that 4 stone is a lot - but put that into bags of sugar or bags of cement and they realise. Gareth

Are you my Mum in disguise? She said the same. She pointed out that I hadn't been running a year yet Gareth

Thanks guys. My mother just told me off for being so self-depreciating (is that even a saying?). Swansea 10k in September. I'm chuffed really with the running but cannot loose weight at all. Putting 14.5 stone around a 10k cannot be good. I need to loose more weight! How is everyone else getting along? Gareth

Nobody has been in this thread for a while so I thought I'd pop in and say I ran my first organised 10K today - what a bitch it was as well. It was stupidly warm (yes I know it's been raining). I came 99th (out of 104) - The majority of the runners were club runners so I was out of my league. Still- onwards and upwards. Not my fastest 10K and i'm a little let down by myself - but it was very hilly. Gareth

If anyone feels they can contribute to a Kodu magazine in the style of MagPi (an amateur magazine for the Raspberry Pi) then please do get in touch either through twitter - @kodumag or by mailing [email protected] The website isn't there yet but it will be www.kodumag.net If you want to write an article or setup some problem solving tasks that would be great. Look out though - for some reason on our network it doesn't load the double home pages unless the users presses Home. It also wants to add in MSN.co.uk to the mix even though we have not added it. Gareth

This morning Leighton Andrews announced £3 million for Computer Science teaching. Amazing stuff. Thoughts? At last - significant investment in Comp Sci from the Welsh Government. Gareth

Morning, I've spent a few days working on ActivInspire ready to send around to the departments but there is one dept who insists on sticking with Studio Pro despite me offering training. Their opinion is that Studio is easier more user friendly. Does anyone have a comparison chart or an arguement against Studio? I want to move everyone to Inspire - move forward but they do not want to. Gareth

GPO Deployment - how do you do things?
garethEds replied to soveryapt's topic in How do you do....it?
Hi SYnack, Which script do you use for OU choice in MDT? I have seen a script on one of the blogs but didn't quite understand where to put it. Cheers Gareth -
Help deploying ActivInspire v1.6 via msi
garethEds replied to Pacman's topic in Promethean Direct Support
I'll come back to that in a moment. Inspire installed properly. However I have now started messing with the admin.ini file. If I set a variable in the admin.ini file for the stared resources to: T:\ActivInspire\ then the MSI fails because the T drive is not mapped until the user logs in. If I set the variable to it's proper path \\\ygg-resources\ActivInspire\ then it works straight away. However for some reason I cannot get the second path to work in the admin.ini file when Inspire is installed. It simply points to the C drive. Weird. Gareth -
Forcing ActivStudio in ActivInspire
garethEds replied to garethEds's topic in Promethean Direct Support
Thanks Tom - I'll try it tomorrow. Gareth -
Evening, In ActivInspire, when users start it up they are given the option of ActivStudio Professional, ActivPrimary or Other Applications. Is there a way of forcing this decision without users having to chose it all the time? Cheers Gareth
