Opinions on the recent behavior of certain footballers
RichB replied to GREED's topic in General Chat
Why did'nt he appeal the charge? because he knew then the FA would have had to produce the evidence to the masses and press! ? He also said that calling someone a negro in his country was ok? I think not... Look at the players past? 8 match ban is a joke.. should have been banned from playing football in the UK. Liverpool football club has been a joke standing by him, and the ITV for showing his face every two minutes only makes the situation worse, like the players coming out of the tunnel wearing t-shirts with him on. Wonder if this debate will be the same after JT is found guilty. Watch my REP go down now from the liverpool fans. -

Having a few issues soooooo, Im planning on deleting a user from AD and creating them a new account, but with there old mailbox! does anyone know how to do this is a step by step guide? Using exchange 2007, on a server 2003 box Thanks

already ran wireshark, everything looks correct! DFS roots were designed for file shares ect! Or from what I have read and seen in other schools/universitys. The DFS roots hold everything, shared areas, userdata, profiles ect.... Had no problems what so ever till a recent upgrade on our DC's to server 2008. got a dell poweredge 2950, 15k disks

RAID cards? or network cards? Its RAID 5 with broadcom netextreme 2 cards and intel pro 1000 quad port on the teaming cards

I have been having problems with the DFS roots around school, I started this job around 15months ago and they never have been quite right fast one day, slow another! now just generally slow, so here are my options: Flatten the file servers running 2003R2, upgrade to 2008R2 reset up the DFS roots and card teaming Carry on investigating the issues, as flattening the servers may not solve the issue??? (have to say I have tried just about everything as the why they are slow, Average disk queue smashing out at 100%, tried upgrading memory, upgrading firmware, drivers, disabling antivirus, checked DNS, DHCP, card teaming, running through one 1gb card, new namespaces, re-config of some areas of DFS) but as I’m sure your all aware DFS is a mine field in itself. What would you do? And why?
-
Yes using DFS rep! 100% not the anti virus when we upgraded the AV it was not on any machine in the college for 1 hour and we still had the issue. Since then we've disabled for testing and still get the issue
-
Sorry in the late reply! the antivirus is not the problem, and we have checked the switches! the raid is hardware based. It is something to do with the DFS roots we use here, on the preformance manager DFS connections are smashing at 100% all day, everyday! something is not getting through, ill check and update the NIC cards, then look at someother things!

Please take a look at this log: Running server 2003, both file servers look like this, we are having speed issues when accessing files. Both servers are hitting 100% on disk, and sometimes processor. There is over 140 gig spare on a 1.5TB drive. Any ideas whats wrong? how to combat it?> Thanks

Morning Fellow Edugeekers! We have a strange problem here, we deleted an old printer a while ago. Now the past few days this printer is getting mapped all around the college as the default printer? Any ideas? Ive had a look in group policy to double check it is not getting a different script or policy to map it from there! checked the print server, 100% deleted. Print server 2003 Domain controllers 2008 Print server running PCounter Thanks

Afternoon all, First day back today for the kids and staff (sick of getting asked how my holidays were..... erm I was here ALL SUMMER) My question is what are the log on times for your machines in school? We have staff complaining that 30-40 seconds is to long? I think its quite fast considering the machines map the correct drives, printers and also our exchange OWA pops up (so staff read there emails) What sort of log on times do you have at your spot? Thanks

Pre IT I was a gym instructor, Best idea for your weights bench is doing 4 sets of 15 reps (this will tone you and will cut fat), you can find alsorts of excerises online for using your weights bench. Lower the weights so you can carry out these reps! (big weights does not mean big results) its all about PMA if you want to do it you will search super 7's arm work out for your arms, these will rip the arms up in weeks! ABS again 4 sets of how ever many you can do.... sets its the key to toning up make sure your doing 4 sets. CUT BREAD OUT, you'll see results straight away!

Morning, Sorry if this has already been posted but could not find it. Had this email through late yesterday afternoon, regarding the results thought it may be of use! (nothing like last minute.com) There are examination related issues that secondary schools need to aware of before proceeding with results analysis. Important Note: None of these issues prevent examination results being downloaded and entered into your SIMS database. It is recommended that schools should take the Summer Release, SIMS 7.140. However, all SIMS workstations must be running Microsoft .NET 4 Framework. Workstations without .NET 4 will no longer be able to run SIMS until they have this version installed. For schools on the Summer Release, SIMS 7.140, an additional patch 16067 has been made available on SOLUS 2 & 3. This patch resolves the following: • An issue was found where the columns on the ‘Subject/Grade Analysis’ report were repeating twice. • The PI tables contained an issue where Grades ‘U’ and ‘X’ were counted twice for GCSE Double Awards Schools that have already taken the Summer Release will need to use SOLUS to take patch 16067. Schools that take the Summer Release from now on using SOLUS 2 will take the patch as part of the upgrade process. The patch is available in SOLUS 3 as a separate download. For schools on the Spring Release, SIMS 7.138 and have circumstances where that they cannot upgrade to the Summer Release, patch 16068 can be made available on request from our service desk. This patch resolves the issues above and two additional ones addressed in the summer upgrade, namely: • The ‘Subject/Grade Analysis’ report and ‘Group Performance Analysis’ report do not currently support double grades as they are linked to the incorrect Gradeset for GCSE Double Awards. The patch will update the Gradeset from JC F to JC15 to support this. • The ‘Group Performance Analysis’ report contained an issue where Grades ‘U’ and ‘X’ were counted twice for GCSE Double Awards. Subject/Grade Analysis reporting It is recommended that ‘All’ is not chosen from the ‘Level’ option when printing the ‘Subject/Grade Analysis’ report. As an alternative, use should be made of ‘Individual Levels’. If ‘All levels’ are required to be analysed then use the export button to enable you to perform your analysis using software such as Excel. To clarify the situation regarding the analysis of BTEC results: • It was initially thought that a patch 16021 would be required to adjust the BTEC grade set point scores. This is not the case. • When schools have received and processed a BTEC results file or entered results manually, PI should be used to gather the results. The calculations undertaken by PI takes into account the different BTEC levels and give an accurate analysis of point scores. • Be aware that if either Assessment Manager or the Performance Analysis modules are used to calculate BTEC point scores, there may be an issue with the underlying values in the grade set depending on the level being analysed. Further advice and clarification on this issue can be offered by our support desk. • Schools that applied the original patch need take no further action.

Chrome, Firefox ect its all works just not IE any version Anyone got any ideas? Other than pushing Firefox out across the site Thanks
