I’m pulling my hair out now (or should I say pulled) so a crate of beer to the first person who can help me! Yes I will deliver a crate to your door…. Domain Controllers 2008r2 File Servers 2003r2 Main desktops XP Issue: We are going down the windows 7 route, better late than never! I have got EVERYTHING to work how I want it other than it mapping the start menu. We are using profiles .man.v2 and I don’t want to change that, they work well. I have copied over the start menu from where it lives in our XP profiles to windows 7. I know the start menu is called something different in windows 7. Already tried: • Folder redirection on the start menu (http://www.edugeek.net/forums/windows-7/73430-windows-7-start-menu-redirection.html) • Unticking hide protected operating system files • Copying the files the C:\ of the machine to test it – still does not show up and wouldn’t work if we added extra software automatically Any help would be great, and the beer will turn up!

I think he got a negitive response from fellow edugeekers that would not have come if it had not been Millgate thats my thoughts about it.
-
I think @Achandler is been unfairly treat here! he is just explaining his dealings with this company, like 100's do. Just because Millgate is a sponser does not mean they should be dealt with differently. I would be the same, the delivery of the item is millgate's to sort not mine! if he/the college are new customers as it would seem I would expect the service the first few times at least to be above and behond. my 2pence worth anyway.... PS Millgate and Luke have always have been pleasent to me and sorted out a quote!

Im sat in our server room, migrating sims! before getting on with a list a mile long.... Would'nt change it for the world #sarcasm

Pure message is a simple install, no config needed other than an admin email which it emails when any bad language is detected. You can alter the settings to include certain file types and key words not to allow through. So far (over a year) It has not flagged up any emails as spam that arn't. If it did its a 20 second job to release them. Very simple interface to use. It just works (for us).

We had this and upgraded the memory on a number of the printers! this did not solve the issue, ended up asking pupils/staff to split the printing pages if the document was huge! HP were zero help also still have a ticket open with them.

Good afternoon all! I am looking at locking down a few of our servers for remote access. Now I know I can specify different users to have access and others not. BUT.... I am wondering if there is a console of sorts that can be run/ran on a windows 7 PC to create and manage exchange 2003/2007 email accounts? Is there? Thanks

-
Can this be done? It asks to connect to the internet, all of our connections go through a proxy! and teathering it up to an iphone is way to slow...

HAS IT IMPROVED GRADES? To me iPads can still not do what PC's can in the educational market.

Take a copy of it, delete it see if it still works! Give it a good test. If not revert back, not the most professional answer but it will or will not work.
