Well cut joists into hangers against the end board would mean a lower ceiling as well, the plasterboard would almost block the top of what I presume is doors at the end. You you need to lift the whole end of the conservatory roof to put support underneath, which will effect the angle, which might affect where it is hung against the property. The tapered end is also most exposed to any elements and most likely in the longer term to rot. Are you expecting a flat roof on the insider or angled, if flat then there may be a way to put a support across before the taper to help take the weight, it would need to be where the windows meet though to help transfer it to the floor, you don't want to end up boxing a UPVC windows frame. I'm genuinely not sure what your best option would be. I'm not an ex builder, but I've had a fair amount of experience building porches, garages, side extensions with flat roofs and angled ones.

He bought the joists for a roof with an overhang and then you don't have one, hence the taper issue. But yeah, I wouldn't be happy with that

@LeMarchand I assume that a broken panel, you literally meant a broken Waverley Lap or Featherboard panel. Which you can get round here for £25 each for 6ft x 5ft, I paid £20 a panel only a few months back. Did 8 panels, new posts, gravel boards and concrete for £400 total, with a few friends helping with free labour. Apologies if it isn't this type of panel that is knackered. I entirely agree with you that you shouldn't claim on your insurance and your neighbours shouldn't be expecting that either!

Deeds might say who is responsible for the boundary, with the marking, they will only very rarely say what this boundary must be. Someone can use some string between two sticks to maintain the boundary, and they are meeting those obligations. Fences/ trees etc are owned by someone, someone paid for it and they are the owner, if it was the previous person who owned your property, then you now own it, whether you need to maintain the boundary or not according to your deeds. So the fence might be yours (as the previous owner installed it), no matter who is responsible for the boundary. I really don't understand why replacing £25 fence panels causes people to fall out. Going round armed with deeds is already over the top to me, you should have gone round and said, you thought the fence was his so he would be replacing the panel, he then says, no I think the fence is yours, then between you, you agree to replace the panel, maintaining the fence and good relationship (hopefully). I replaced the fence on a proportion of my boundary, I didn't need to tell the neighbours I was doing it, but I went wrong and let them know, one offered to contribute towards it. None of he boundaries are marked as mine to maintain, but the old fence was most likely mine, so I replaced it, one neighbour offered to contribute but I said it was fine. If a fence panel needs replacing one day, I'll replace that as well. Admittedly, if you inherit a fence you don't necessarily know who owns it, but don't rely on the deeds, as they don't say who owns what's there.

The Logitech Rally setup with a TAP system still opens and joins Zoom meeting etc. It opens then using the web browser version of the meeting, so it isn't as good as the full app obviously. You don't have to use the TAP part I don't think and just use the Rally. Our boardroom (not a school) has 3 mics on the table as well now and new TVs instead of a projector.

The reason limits take a while to update at POS is because it is PITA to do it. The firmware needs updating on the readers, where the readers connect to have to be updated as well, then we also needed to update the authorisation server as well! Was a nightmare to do. I'd love to say that I am sure big retailers have faster systems in place to do it then I was using, but given they are forever on out of date OSes etc, I would probably doubt it.

Lenovo Warranty for me at least has always been pretty good. Usually returned within a week of being collected, including during COVID.

You sure you don't just have a laptop with a knackered graphics chip, that as soon as the system tries to use it properly it fails. Normal graphics card can do it where they work fine, then soon as you load anything 3d it failed (i.e opened a game).

Honestly, as everyone else has said, just ignore her. She can home educate her child if she is that concerned or she can get an expert (probably from the US) to confirm her child has this condition, and what needs to be done to accommodate them. She can then lobby her local MP to get additional funding for the school to enact these measures, it won't happen. There's plenty of research which debunks her "theory" and "concerns", she won't believe any of it. Some people simply won't, you will just have to ignore her politely. The parent probably has a mobile phone, WiFi at home etc.

Techbuyer are fine to deal with, I've purchased from them before. Based up near Harrogate I believe, always found them helpful and responsive.

We can do, but there is an opinion of time versus reward as well, so they like to bulk get rid of them.

It's annoying that everyone is so desperate for laptops, as places like my place of work has literally 150+ desktops that will just be scrapped sat in storerooms as they replaced every computer with a personal issue laptop!

What are you telling us so? For the main system that is using some dubious import method and might not be great to have a breach or for the App to have a breach. Given that the App doesn't actually collect your personal data, I don't really get what the breach will be. Someone will be able to see where my phone went and who it has seen over the past how many days, using Google Maps probably does worse then that already! If you mean the actual Test and Trace system, then if you have had a test then you would be included, so you couldn't have told anyone so. Unless you actual mean you wouldn't get a test because you don't trust the system to keep your data safe, that is ultimately your choice. I kind of think unless someone is a selfish idiot, you could easily isolate yourself and not get a test especially if you live by yourself and not get tested. Just remember to take a trip to your local tourist attraction to test your eyesight.
