Hi, Was in the exact same boat as you a few months ago. We have used Lightspeed MDM. We did the same regarding a few accounts but now we have had to have 1 account per iPad so we comply. There is a huge cost with this especially considering the specialist SEN apps we have - some costing anything from £20-£40 PER iPad PER app!!! Be prepared though - it is a very lengthy process!! Hope this has helped!

Tried to run a report through the Office 365 admin centre and it returns no data - even though it is showing me I do have quite a number of inactive mailboxes that havent been accessed for the past 90 days or more. Is there an easy way to sort this or a work around? Looking around there seems to be a few powershell scripts but I am not familiar at all with the powershell scripting. I have contacted Microsoft and raised a ticket - did this many weeks ago but to no avail. HELP! As I want to find out who isn't using their emails.

Hi, Yes we use Integris and our teachers do the registers..... the one pain you will find though coming from SIMS (Like I have) is that nothing integrates with it at all!!! On the flip side, does anyone know if Integris does an app that allows teachers to take the registers through their iPads?

Bit of a mixed domain as of yet until summer. Never been an issue before though? I will try the hotfix suggested above. It's the computer policies working fine its the users that are throwing warnings and errors. When I implement the policy and enforce it on the default domain policy rather than the specific organizational unit they seem to work seamlessly!

Hi, Little bit stuck here! Please see the picture from a command prompt when doing a gpupdate. It does the same error when trying to force it to. Nothing has changed on the network lately and this has all of a sudden started. Some of the policies now are starting to play up for some strange reason! 1. Any ideas why it may have started? 2. Got my pricing a little bit adrift!! They're costing £265 per unit but still think it's a very good price!

One of our suppliers has come up with some HP refurbs i7 8GB 500GB coming in at a very good price of £235 per unit. Hoping to do a big refresh of a good number of desktops. If I was to be purchasing something with those specs brand new I'd be around the £500+ mark. I have never purchased refurbs before and I am hesitant to do so. The condition and the limited warranty worries me but this price seems almost too good to be true / too good of a deal. Just wondered if could post some opinions on your past refurb experiences?

Me (the NM) and a technician for a large special needs school with a lot of different technologies which is always fun!! I understand there is a hierarchy and needs to be but where possible the 'rubbish and annoying' jobs I try to dish out fairly. If I was to give him all the rubbish, simple tasks like unjamming a printer or replacing a mouse he wouldn't develop and his morale certainly wouldn't be high. By doing this I ensure that he is happy in his work and continuously motivated. I was a technician once where the hierarchy didn't move out their seats all day and I resented it. Most definitely don't want my technician to feel that way. We were always at their level once upon a time. And I get a great buzz when he can then accomplish a more technical problem / project / task than he could of 6 months ago. Anyone agree / disagree with my approach?

Hi! The head has asked me to go and find some timetabling software that they can start using. As with everything loads out there... What does everyone use / recommend using? (It's for a special needs school / classed as primary) Cheers.

So what specs does everyone have currently for their work laptop/desktop? I currently have an i5 4gb RAM laptop but my technician could do with a new laptop and wondering what specs to get for him. Do I get a massively high spec one to futureproof? What's the 'norm' for yourself / technician spec wise? Thanks as always!

Yes the latter - they don't need access to their desktop just soley access to the shared network drive/s. HAP? Can't say i've heard of it? What's it stand for? Cheers

Surely there will be an easy simple way........... I came from a Frog school which allowed all staff to login to the VLE and see all the network drives so they could theoretically work from home on all the schools data and access what they required. Is there a way or a product which will allow me to implement this at the school I am now at? I have a VPN connection set up for staff with school laptops but as you can imagine not everyone has those! Thanks in advance!!

Little bit of help needed!! Wanting to use a personalised graphic for our users especially the ones who use their emails frequently such as SLT, business manager, admin team ect... It's not working for me! I'm trying to save the photo in their onedrive then path through to it but it just doesn't display. Anyone got this working successfully? If so, how? Also, wanting to push our disclaimer out for all users - assuming this is just a rule i enforce for the organisation? Thanks in advance!!
