Meraki VPP Invitation link not working
loonytunes replied to loonytunes's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
Thanks for your replies. I'm trying to accept the invitation on the iPad. If as suggested the problem is with iOS 9.3.2 I'll have a go at doing it on the Mac to see if that works. Thanks -
Hi, having moved most of our iPads over to Meraki over the last few months I'm onto the last batch. However when opening the email invitation for Meraki VPP, it opens in safari and then just gets stuck so it doesn't redirect to iTunes. I get a message saying sign in to associate account but I already am. Any suggestions? Our push certificates and tokens are in date.

Hi, I'm in the process of re-enrolling our iPads because we've got a new push certificate from Apple. I've followed the instructions on the client page of the Meraki site but as a result, all the apps I previously installed via Meraki are now listed as being unmanaged. Is there a way to re-enroll without loosing the ability to manage previously installed apps? Its going to be a pain if not...

[ipad] Licensed apps in Meraki MDM don't display properly
loonytunes replied to loonytunes's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
Hi @L3OUGH I just posted my questions here and various people answered them. What are you trying to do? There's a vague chance I can help. Otherwise, look at this post and there may be something of use http://www.edugeek.net/forums/netbooks-pda-phones/162144-help-setting-up-ipads-using-meraki-legacy.html Hard work to get it all set up but I'm definitely seeing the benefits now. -
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I'm still not exactly sure what I'd done but I've fiddled with the rules in Meraki and it seems to be ok now. Thanks for your help - I'm still very new to MDM, Loony

Hi, I'm currently re-enrolling our iPads in Meraki. Its been fine with most of the iPads but a couple of our iPads (older iPads) seem to have got stuck in the Meraki app and I can't get out of it. I've tried a soft reset on the iPads but they just reopen Meraki and get stuck again when they're turned back on. Other than plugging them into the laptop and setting them up again, I can't think how to get out of it. Any suggestions for anything I could try first? Thanks

Meraki silent push - works at home but not in school
loonytunes replied to loonytunes's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
Thank you all for your replies. I've been in touch with the tech team & hopefully it's on it's way to being sorted 😀 -
Hello, thanks to the lovely people on here I have finally managed to move our iPads over to MDM via Meraki. When I have an iPad at home, I can push out an app via Meraki and it appears on the iPad beautifully. However when I'm in school it doesn't work. Really not a solution but I've been playing around in school and have worked out that if I use my iPhone as wifi hotspot, the app will begin to download and then I can switch back to school wifi for it to fully download. This leads me to think that the issue is possibly to do with the school wifi permissions?? Does this sound right? Our internet is managed by the local authority. Any suggestions on anything specific I can ask them to look at to rectify this (sorry, I'm not techie and don't really understand how this sort of thing works!) Thanks

Help setting up iPads using Meraki legacy
loonytunes replied to loonytunes's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
Thank you! I've had rather a rollicking from my head this week that I haven't got it all done in the 2 minute time frame he wanted so I particularly appreciate all your help and kind words -
Hi, very long and boring story but I have a Meraki legacy account that I set up ages ago but am only just starting to use for various reasons. I need to keep it a legacy account as we'll end up with over 100 iPads and I don't want to pay. I'm not a techie person but have ended up as ICT coordinator in a special school (I'm good at using the stuff with the kids, just not as techie as I feel I need to be). Anyway, as we're a special school with lots of small classes, we don't have sync/charging units. I've been reading that Meraki legacy has some limitations on iOS9 and some people are seem to be setting iPads up using configuator and then using Meraki. I am a bit thick so please help me. Do I need to use configurator so that I get all the iOS9 stuff? If I use configurator with Meraki, does that mean I need to plug the iPads into the Mac everytime I want to update the iPads? Can anyone point me in the direction of a simple how to guide? I've been reading stuff for what seems like weeks now but am just getting more and more confused! Please be kind to me! Thanks

I'm the ICT coordinator at a special school and our children have really embraced iPads and over the last few years the Head has given me lots of money to buy iPads in quite a short space of time. Unfortunately for various reasons, the management of the iPads was never properly considered and I've basically got lots of iPads running off a couple of iTunes accounts. After a year or so when other people were supposed to be helping remedy this and find an appropriate MDM solution I've been let down and its ended back on my plate. Please help! The Head is about to buy some more iPads so that we'll be up to 1 iPad per pupil so in total we'll have about 150 devices. Which method of MDM would you recommend for us and how do I go about it? Also is there a way of doing it that will mean that we don't lose any apps that are already the iPads, many of which were free at the time they were installed and were put on before volume purchase was available? Sorry, I know I should know better and shouldn't have got to this point but its where we are and I'm trying my best to rectify it now. Thank you
