People ignoring the 6P rule and had two days of nightmares with staff development days and a whole bunch of stuff not done and then a couple of very bad email conversations really pushed me over the edge. But it is now Friday night. I have had a beer or 3 and chilling out as much as possible awaiting Mondays start with the students.

+1 for Salamander, worth getting it into your plans for the following year, and their support is just amazing, I rarely have to wait more than 2 hours from the email to the request being put into place I do have an old excel sheet below, pretty self explanitory, you put in the forename and surname, year of entry and a couple of server names, and it makes a bunch of batch file commands that you copy and paste into notepad. It may need some tweaking as I do believe some of the way it shares is a bit out of date, but it is a good starting point for anyone who needs a bit of help. UserCreation.xls But I would 100% advise anyone to get Salamander AD, I just cannot cope without it.

Since I have no broadband at home, until weds, I have been replaying The Last of Us - Remastered. Been doing a whole weekend of quite a bit of gaming and it has been great, I almost forgot how good the plot and the general gameplay is. Also, since I had to completely wipe my PS4 and it didn't do any cloud saves it means that I have to start FF-X all over again, I will eventually complete that game!

Good Morning All, I may be using the wrong terminology here, but here goes. I currently have 4 physical interface ports Gi1/0/9, Gi1/0/10, Gi1/0/11 and Gi1/0/12. 9 and 10 are on Port Channel Po5 with 11 and 12 on Po6. I want to remove 9 and 10 from Po5 and add them to Po6 (so that the HyperV host has 4GBps instead of 2) I am just at a loss to whether I should be going into the PortChannel Config to remove the ports or the Physical Interface port itself to change it. I know there are a few Cisco Gurus out there who will know what I mean and know I am being a little bit special, but googlefu hates me today and I am just confused on the steps. Assuming those are the Klingons, they look "interesting" but could probably be explained by the fact that they are part way through the "Virus" form ENT, but deffo looks gritty. Going to be interesting, as it should be in the "Prime" universe but (this is where the finer points of temporal mechanics may kick in) surely if it is 10 years before STO it would already be in the Alternate Movie timeline as the Romulan ship killed kirks dad so would be around somewhere. I am just going to wait and see, as it has the potential of being really awesome, but may not be the ideal "Trek" universe (which was already being carved up in DS9)

I think it kinda went a bit crazy. I am potentially moving this weekend so may have to go to the end of august :-/

We just installed python on windows, it actually cooperates with all the Security GPOs you have in place already quite well, so they cannot get to anything they don't have access to under their user areas.

I was chatting with a guy at our local support unit, it is to do with a couple of specific tables which use a slightly different Latin character set for validation, there are two patches to run, one before the update which converts those tables to the same as the rest of the SIMS database and then one that converts it back afterwards. Word is that they are working on unifying this character set issue for autumn to unify the database.

Also which version of 1703 as pro has "depreciated" a lot of GPOs from my understanding but Ent and Edu can still use them currently

For my phone yes. But may be worth giving learnpad/avantis a call. The do wireless charging cases for iPads and storage cupboards and may have a solution for microUSB

I think you are referring to what is called a Redirected Start Menu in Group Policy terms. You basically make a folder on a share and then use folder redirection to redirect it. You may also want to set the remove common applications option set else in Group Policy to remove the shortcuts already on the local machine.
