They receive them but they just can't open them. And it is their end as I have checked with 13 other local schools who say the same.

Ok all, Turns out that our local authority cannot receive O365 (Azure information protection) emails. Actually got a line back saying that their IT team asked a member of staff to find us to get a new way of encrypting emails! Errrr excuse me, you what now? We are not the only school in this situation, I have spoken to a few others, and they are getting the same. So if you guys and gals were told this, what would you do? I am loathed to go and pay for a product because of our LAs IT department, I know there is likely to be other reasons that could stop them doing this but really, they don't give us guidance in encryption and then say we cannot use a big industries players product for this :/

Dear All, I had a search and could not find an answer on this, so I thought I would try here. New member of staff being employed from overseas, the person in charge of contracts has quite rightly asked where we standing sending a contract with a name and address over emails to our of the EU and Safe Harbour zone. I have said it should be fine, but to use our Office 365 encryption just in case, but we are still awaiting an answer from our DPO. How would you lovely people play this one?

All Changed from 2 Slow Trains to Charing Cross Every Hour, 2 Semi Fast trains to Charing Cross Each houir and 2 HS1 Trains to St Pancras Each hour to the following: 8 trains per hour Off-Peak instead of 6 (including 2 high speed trains per hour to/from St Pancras). Faster off-peak journey times to Charing Cross Direct train services to more destinations - Direct services to Victoria and Denmark Hill (for King’s College Hospital). 2 trains per hour run by Thameslink to Blackfriars, City Thameslink, Farringdon, St Pancras and Luton Airport. At peak times there will still be direct trains to Cannon Street. Off-Peak, change at London Bridge for connections to and from Cannon Street.

Using it here, didn't have a problem. Got it published through out WAP server too, so I can use it at home, RDP won't work on my Mac (not sure if that is my Mac part of the WAP server) I also get prompted multiple times for my domain details on a non domain machine but by god the HyperV server overview is useful. It is very basic at the moment, but is useful, I love the memory pressure graphs in the HyperV Inventory, but I am always amused by the little things

sorry to necrothread this one again. @Davit2005 the C3750G at the moment as one lot of SFP ports and the member is 24 1gbps ethernet sockets. I am upgrading all other links to 10gbps, if I keep this current core switch, it will not have failover, but it should be OK for data routing right without really affecting the 10Gbps performance elsewhere. So servers are on VLAN 100 but clients on VLANs 303, 302 and 500 (making up some numbers) when a client communicates to the server or to the web, it only uses this part to establish where to go VLAN wise but the data is still handled by the switches?

Last day is the 21st July here and I am pretty easy going throughout the whole of the summer. There is the first Friday of August where I will not be available, due to another long distance sponsored walk, so expect the Just Giving bits for that :-)

We use deploystudio. You have to make a boot image and put it in the netboot part of the OSX server. Also make sure if you have a VLAN'd network that you have put in the DHCP helper address for the NetBoot/Mac Server so that the clients can pick it up

What are you using to run your Digital signage? Is it just a powerpoint, or is it something like XiBo, We use XiBo here and our client devices are the Intel Computestick running windows 10 over wireless. WE have impero installed on them to be able to remote on if any extra changes need to be made but we do not have them connected to the domain.

Ready Player One Yes another one that has seen it. Just got back from it, I really enjoyed it, yes predictable in places but I did like it.

I have it installed on Windows 10 LTSB (I know, don't start on me with that one, it is a bridging deployment before full windows 10 education to all) and it works for us :-)

In MDT you can put update CABs into the packages folder and then tell it to deploy them as part of the task sequence, I usually do this with the cumulative updates to lessen the load on the WSUS server.

I have recently replaced all 51 of our Meru APs and controller with 41 Unifi AC Pro APs, apart from tweaking the old VLAN settings so that the ports are trunks to the APs rather than a static VLAN. It worked great. I did have to put a wildcard into the source for our RADIUS authentication as traffic is coming from multiple SSID identifiers rather than just one for our Domain Wireless but that way the only thing that stumped me for a bit. I can quite commonly have 80+ devices (of which 95-100% are full fat domain joined laptops) and it just works for us, the only time I have had a struggle is when I authorised a 1+gb cumulative update on the WSUS server, but appart from that all good, Some of these APs are barely 10 metres away from one and other with no walls in between and they just work too,

I am working on "Disconnecting" the teacher from the front of the room. First tests seem promising, Microsoft Wireless Display Adapters using Miracast are quite good, and I have been impressed by them. Then it will get convertible devices that mean the teacher can use them to write on etc. I also feel that Azure will be a much bigger part to play, I am watching Intune for Education with eager eyes, and we may even have a case where all we have onsite is a Primary DC running DNS and DHCP and the rest will sit within azure, especially if the new web based version of SIMS is fully deployed within 5 years time

We brought 170 of them. Yes we have had some issues with them, but not on a mass as you describing above. I have to say Lenovo's standard onsite support is slow and very poor. One thing that is worth noting is that there is a reset button on these that can be pushed with a paperclip, anyone ruled out their users using that to reset date/time?
