For anyone that comes across this thread later on, if you are putting in the 2016 LTSB version of win 10, even on the 2012r2 server you have to put in the Windows Srv 2016 DataCtr/Std KMS to activate it

Just getting ready to go and catch my train. I'm not in the same hotel as most but will see you all in the morning (once I find the right bus stop lol) -
It is essentially a bunch of scripts that sit on your server and extracts the data from SIMS nightly and pushes it to where you want. It has loads of functionality, I get emailed when a new student is sync'd from SIMS. It saves logs files on the server where it runs. Their support is also awesome, I email them and I have someone on my server within an hour modifying things, making new groups based on lots of items from SIMS. It can also sync the students photos from SIMS to G Suite and O365 Have a look here, there are tones of people on here that use them, there is even a thread purely singing their praises SalamanderSoft Limited

We do this with Salamander, but as the username and password are in config files saved here onsite it is not an issue. They have their own App for publishing it and we give the password for Office365. TBH it is the best money I spend all year, saves so much work, not just for us but for teachers and other support staff as well.

Hello All wise and wonderful Cisco experts. I have inherited a Cisco switch from another school, exactly the same model as ours. I did a Factory Reset on it and went through the basic setup but now I cannot get into the Config Terminal. I am sitting here with Config from another switch with the name and IP address changed wanting to copy it all in I type in Conf-T and it acts like the command doesn't exist. Am I being special here, I was hoping to just copy and paste and then do the edits for ports after. All iOS and the model is a 2960G (if that helps) and connected through the Serial Cable to the console

Running a mix of Office 365 and Google G Suite
BKGarry replied to PrimaryTech's topic in Cloud Services
We are using both as staff preferred google classroom to O365 tools. Used GADS and GAPS for the password and group sync and we disabled gmail in G Suite most emails go direct to O365- 4 replies

If June is bad, we can always look in July or make it a summer hols outing :-)
-
Well I have been really bad at organising this. In my defense I have been running various DofE weekend and training sessions I was thinking a Sunday in June, I am currently free most of June weekends, so does anyone have any preferences?
