  1. I see the same thing. It looks like it's just Ger9's post in the "Arbor - Mark Register..." thread is being incorrectly placed.
  2. Am I going crazy or is this the same seed as before?
  3. I guess we're a decidedly middle-class area, but I see solar panels and EVs everywhere these days and the new development near us has pre-installed EV charging for all the resident parking. While EVs aren't ubiquitous yet, they're certainly common enough to not be a novelty anymore. And I can see driverless getting to that point in the next 5-10 years. Or maybe rather than full automation, we'll just see an increase in the driver assistance things like active cruise control or lane assist to the point where driving is mostly automated.
  4. Like the old Tom Clancy Netforce books? I might have to check that out.
  5. Do you have a 6th Form? We're pretty much the opposite, but we don't have a 6th form so I guess a lot of that conversation is going to be had with the collage rather than us.
  6. We don't normally open the doors for GCSE results collection until about 10:30, so I could this effecting us more than a school that allows collection first thing. I'm sure the school will be looking at if they can block the results going to students for longer.
  7. Yes, but can an elephant run Crysis? 😁
  8. Just to balance out the flood of Mac suggestions 😁 I've been using Dell XPS and Surface laptops for the last 12 years or so (my old 2014 XPS only got replaced as it was too old for windows 11, it still runs great. And the Snapdragon Surface genuinely goes 10-12 hours between charges when used for regular web/office stuff). I'd very much recommend either of them as "Mac replacement", especially if you have Mac Pro money and can get a higher spec model. If it matters to you at all, the mid/high range Dells have really nice screens.
  9. Galway to Rome is now up (I think it's been up since just before Christmas). Although there do seem to be bits of the travel network that don't always work right. I got stuck as it didn't show any northbound trains on the Brighton > Gatwick > London route.
  10. They did a second series of Red Eye? I mean I'm here for it, but I didn't feel like it needed one.
  11. Same release date as Dune Part 3.... That's a strong choice.
  12. The Game Awards trailers got me back into Tomb Raider. I've just finished Legend and am debating starting in on Underworld.
  13. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusader (although I'm not sure it changes the plot any) Star Trek First Contract The Bring Winger Commander The Gordfather
  14. Maybe I'm being dense, but what does this actually mean? When I've used Mifare with either Vanderbilt ACT or paxton, the only data on the card is the default 10 (I think) digit number which any reader would always have been able to pick up, and association with people is server-side.
  15. We got a Fluke tester kit about 8 years back which has been really useful, especially the wand detector for chasing cables/identifying unmarked ports.
  16. I'm in favour of the digital lead being a teacher. Being able to get a teacher, tech and SLT round the table to plan is the ideal IMO.

    HA HA RAM

https://youtu.be/44KP0vp2Wvg?si=oyrc5cYLcBTrQYZf&t=515 Over $10k for a ram stick. Oaky, it's super shiny and high capacity, but still.... 😓
  18. Even if you try and get everything sorted during the holidays, I'd still plan for a bunch of stuff to not be working on the first day back, as there's always those things that don't show up until the teachers start trying to do stuff.
  19. Can't you just not give the users admin permissions so they can't install other browsers? Can you use a default deny policy applocker policy through intune (so only whitelisted apps will run) or even a blanket can't run exe files from their documents/downloads/USB drives? I know you can do this with local/domain applocker policies.
  20. Can you use the "News" posts in SharePoint/Teams? We set up news posts on the "all staff Team" that publish to staff Homepage, and if it needs to be pushed out, using the promote option emails it to all the members of the team (aka all staff).
  21. With the quick-links widget pointing to office apps and the recent documents widget, you could probably make something that looks/functions pretty similarly to the old (good) Office homepage if you wanted.
  22. HD remaster came out recently too.
  23. If I remember correctly (and it's been several years, so it might have changed anyway), each tenant syncs with your master, so tenant 1 (the master) has all the groups for all the others, and tenants 2-5 sync all the groups from 1, including each other's groups.
  24. The landing page looked empty at first, but after I went into https://myapplications.microsoft.com/ and then back to the homepage, it loaded properly. Although we stopped using the MS "landing pages" in favour of our SharePoint homepages a while back because of this sort of nonsense.
  25. USB over Ethernet adapters. Not used them for USB before, but Kramer have always been pretty reliable for us. https://www1.kramerav.com/Product/EXT3-U-KIT
