hi i have to recreate one of our san luns. It contains all users docs and profiles. What i need to do it move the data some were temp while i recreate a new lun for it and the move it on the new lun on the smae server while keeping all ntfs permissons and shares. whats the best way of doing this?

hi guys, i want to start using vlans to help with broadcast traffice on the network. I am thinking to have all the servers on one vlan then one vlan perlocation within the school. am i right in thinking that at the core were the servers are they will need to be a memeber of the same vlans as the workstations in order for stuff to work right. does this mean then broadcast will still travel across to the other vlans? hope that make sense mark

Hi guys i am after a script or a bat file that will copy the contents of a folder on a local server to a network share but it creates a folder with the date and copys the contents to that folder on the share any ideas? mark

Morning, Does any one know how to make a sharepoint calendar default to make it expand all events. In the month view which we have setup some days we have a few events on and it says in that day there are 2 more events etc.... Mark

I did fix this. I got a patch from captia. It was to do with making changes in system manager. I'll digout the info.

Hi On our san switches we dont have jumbo frames enabled. would enabling them improve performance? and does ESX 3.5 support them if so do i need to do any config on the esx hosts. all our our VM's are stored on the sans and not on the host them selfs. mark
