Hi having moved to a new domain over the summer and moved all user files over. How do I reset the ownrship for the users files and folders in one hit based on there folder name (username). Is there any software or script anyone know of that can help Thanks Mark

Done that. Do I just run simsinst as usual and setting up the server as normal. Then run sqlfms setup? What's the extra bit you need for fms is it somthing like the navite client I need to download as well?

we are having this at the momment very random user and machines. Our sims server runs from a sas san, its a esx vm 2008 32bit server with 3gb ram 2 processor, i am not sure weather its processor, disk, ram etc.. anyone care to share there ideas i am running out and slt are moaning, last thing to try is to install it to its own physical server mark

Hi I had to hard drives on my ubuntu system. One was the main system drive and the other was mount to a folder on the system drive. I need to remount this drive to a folder on the system drive htdocs. How do I do this? Mark

Hi does anyone have a script that will check a local folder is there if so is it older then the one on the server is so replace the contains. I need to copy a folder to the root of c but only want to do it if there is a newer one on the server so it doens get copyied evertime a pc boots up. Thanks mark

Hi staff have mandatory profiles and use outlook 2007. However when they setup there settings within outlook like fonts, stationary etc.... After a log off all settings are lost. How can I put this right? Thanks mark

ok so i edited the ntuser.man and got an error. I changed it so the local settings/application data folder get redirected to the users my documents but it moans about a error loading the profile. i take it local settings folder in a profile is not meant to be redirected?

hi is it possible with mandatory profiles to keep the recent used program list for each user. can i redirect that some were so staff can have there own recent program list and there settings stay there after they log off, reg hack in the man profile? mark

hi i have setup a printer and deployed with a gpo and the push printer connection exe. my question is how do i specify what the default printer is per computer /ou. so i have a ou with 20 pc's in side all with the printer deployed using push printer.exe and just in that room i want to set the default for that room thanks mark
