  1. Yeah same as us. 2 sans one sas for the vm machines one sata for data storage. 2 sans are connect within the San network with 2 switches for redunancy. Then four hosts. Only thing stored in the host is esx and a partition for iso files. The only server we don't run as a vm is the ts boxes and the vm management server for backups. Like you say some people don't make there dc's as vm.
  2. All of our servers run on esx and we haven't had any slow downs reported to us. It all depends on the spec of the network and host really
  3. So wild card on a path rule is only used for if you want to restrict certain files and folder within that path so if it is used without the wild the whole path with everything in will run ok
  4. hello we run the scholaris vle at our school and have done for a while. Yes it will be able to write back to sims as they are technical partners of captia. We will be trailing some of their web parts over the next couple of months starting off with attendance. Our AD users are created var salamander (Richard's Willis's product) First off let me say that guy is a genius and he software is fantastic and can be custom to suite our own needs. We run it every night and it add users to any groups that need to be added, creates mail enabled class groups etc... Richard is also a technical partner as well as for scholaris, it looks at our sims systems and runs a import during the day updating the sharepoint system for the users. runs fully on our esx system one sql box,isa , sharepoint servers We have a meeting with the uk rep from scholaris next month to talk about improvements and development ideas for the system. I have found both Ergo and Scholaris very helpful when looking to develop ideas for the vle. mark

  20. enforce will do the following Enforced: This was previously referred to in Win2K as "No Override". The Enforced flag is set on a GPO link using the GPMC. Essentially what is does is say, "If there are any conflicting policy settings on downstream GPOs (GPOs processed after the enforced GPO), those settings will always be overridden". Essentially how this works is that any GPO links that are marked as Enforced, will be moved to the bottom of the Group Policy processing list. This ensures that the enforced policy is always processed last, and thus "wins" over any downstream GPOs. Enforced GPOs will override Block Inheritance (described next).
  21. so are none of the gpo applying or just certain ones, loopback mode?
  22. have you tried wait for network setting as a new gpo and placed that so it applys first?
  23. hhhm dont think so, why what you thinking?
