Schoolscreener does not do anything about reporting the results to the DHSC / NHS The requirement to register the test remains an onerous task for anyone expected to do it for their students - our head has raised this through unions and our MP.

There is no way of hiding future cover, it will appear on the timeline / calendar of the member of staff covering regardless. I do question your use of staff for known, advanced absences. I thought the rules of "rarely cover" meant that only last minute absences could be covered by teachers!?

As I read it, the value of sheet 1 column 3 is determined by the values in column 1 and column 2 AND the value in column 2 is either 1 or 2 So why not use a vlookup where the col_index (third) parameter is based on what is in column 2 e.g. for cell C2 in your original post =vlookup(B2,sheet2!A2:C6,B2+1,FALSE)

OK, I think I now understand there are different notification types depending on whether the App has picked up on contact with a known +ve case or whether NHS has sent a message to me about contact. Given that both the messages I received were followed by the "don't worry" message I assume these were the former, thanks @Boredguy Following on from this, does it mean that when you get the notification it is *at that time* that the contact is/has occurred? If so this is worrying because both mine have been around midnight, when my phone is on my bedside table and nowhere near anybody else (except Mrs Seb). I've looked in the iOS settings, and found the exposure notifications section of the app. Thanks @aicrd and @elsiegee40. Now I need to know what this all means! I can see pairs of "Exposure Checks" results, approximately every 4 hours. Is this the regular checking of data with the central system? I can see that for all of the checks the "Matched Key Count" is zero, so I still don't understand why I'm getting notifications.

How do you get the exposure log?

Got my first notification on Sunday, then another this morning - both with the "don't worry, keep safe" message. Which raises two questions in my mind:- 1 - Why does the app not have somewhere where you can see the notifications you have been sent? They only appear on the lock screen, and as soon as I unlock the phone they disappear (iOS). Surely this is too easy for someone to miss!? 2 - Will these be two different potential contacts? Or is it the same contact repeating for however many days? I know I cannot (and need not) see where the contact took place, but knowing if they are the same or different events would go some way to clarifying what's going on in my world.

Could be either, could be both. I'd expect in the first instance the Alt Provision to make enquiries, but if this is prolonged absence then the main school gets involved, together with the LA. At least, that's what happens in these parts.

A combination of LA support team, Capita knowledgebase and various Data Manager forums - this is a moving feast and changes frequently. This year has been particularly bad, with some issues still unresolved. Current latest set-up is fileset 1605 with patch 26059 - but it's not fixing everything!!

I use INDEX/MATCH when converting results broadsheets into columnar listings for use with third party systems - but this does rely on the first two columns being populated then looking up the results.

This should be going to the students, not the parents. And yes, you do need to consider the security implications. We are e-mailing to the students' school e-mail address as one mitigation.

Routines / School / Delete Latest Academic Year should do it (I've never used it myself, so you may want to make sure you have backups before proceeding). I'm surprised you cannot edit the one that's there though.

For each subject add on the end of the row or column a series of cells where you put in this formula for each grade =countif(range,"9") - where range is the cells that contain all you results for that subject and "9" is the grade. Once you have 9 (or 10 including U) cells populated you can do all the calcs you need.

Is your sink new? If so, I'd expect it to be supplied with some fittings to join the waste and overflow from the two bowls to a single point where you can attach the trap. If not (or you have no parts) the one @JATSO mentioned has greater flexibility to accommodate different basin outlet heights. Another option is to add two traps and make the join in your waste water pipes after the traps - this means simpler, cheaper traps but a bit more room wasted under the sink.

I can already envisage the newspaper headlines for Sunday / Monday - "$beauty_spot residents angry at hoards". And I'll wager a few sub-eds are already lining up the journos and 'togs to make sure they get the picture and story they want. It sickens me that the actions of a few hundred people (on both sides) will overshadow the millions who go about this in a civilised and sensible manner.
