I raised this with Groupcall at BETT and was told that a new development was in testing whereby we would see all of what was being exported on a case by case basis. This work was being done in conjunction with the third-party users of Groupcall Exporter and would enable us, as data controllers, to better understand where our data is going. This was to be free of cost to schools, I assume the third-party users will cover any costs. I'm wholly with you on the question of why some of the data is being exported, why does the libray system need to record ethnicity?

I'm not at work so I can't look into this at the moment; I'l do so on Monday. In the mean time, have you tried re-applying the timetable?

That site is about planning permission, that is not the same as building regulations. Planning permission is about how the building looks in the environment and thus doesn't normally apply to internal walls. Building regs are about the structural safety of the building. If you are removing a supporting wall and replacing with an RSJ then I'm sure the local building control team will be interested.

Ha, ha - funniest thing I've read for a while. You can get rid of false N's through Bulk Update - that's what I do every year when the new Y7's come in and some schools have used "N" for "No SEN" wheras others have used it for "No Longer SEN" I've also set up our own "No Longer SEN" code (X) First I shift any genuine "No Longer SEN" to the new code, then right-click at the top of the "No Special Educational Need" column and select "UnCheck All"

This year our Head has decided to organise a raffle with a twist and I'd like your help in deciding what to do. Each member of staff (approx 250 people) have been given one ticket to enter one of six seperate raffles, each raffle will have a different prize and we know what the prize for each raffle is. Raffle A = £100 Raffle B = £50 Raffle C = £25 Raffle D = £12.50 Raffle E = £37.50 Raffle F = £75 The dilemma we all face is knowing which raffle to enter. Do you go for the big money or do you go for the smallest value hoping that your chances of winning are greater because fewer people chose that option? I'm of the opinion that winning something is better than winning nothing, so the strategy to adopt is to go for the raffle with the fewest entrants. But which one would that be? Could you please vote for the raffle you would enter if you had a ticket. Is anyone out there clued up on Game Theory? Thanks

Just done a check and it appears subscribed threads with >100 pages are affected. Other threads with similar page counts, but not subscribed, don't show this. This is clearly the top priority for me today

On threads this morning I'm seeing "ghost" pages showing as avaialbel but they're not there; clicking a page or next just returns me to the top of the last page. For example, in the IT Request of the Week thread it's showing 200 pages available, but the last I can see (and I think is truely the last) is page 197

Because, in my opinion, the DPO needs to be both independent and have authority at the highest level. You will struggle to find anyone working in a school who is independent from the handling of data, and very few of them will have the authority to over-rule the Head.

I was there too and found some of their comments appeared to be ill researched, I plan on attending several other events to see where the concensus lies. I was most concerned to hear that Norfolk County Council had appointed the Head of IT as their DPO. I'm just an 'umble Data Manager and I won't be putting my hand up, nor would my SLT lead who attended with me!
